I’m really into this Apple TV series – it’s about a guy who hits rock bottom and, desperate for cash, starts robbing his friends because he knows when they’re away. John Hamm plays a pretty down-to-earth character, but the show isn’t all serious – there’s some genuinely funny stuff. And honestly, like with his other work, especially Your Friends & Neighbors, Hamm just has a knack for creating scenes that instantly become memes. It’s great!
I actually see it as a positive thing. It’s better to be part of a happy, funny meme than one that’s awkward, silly, or depressing. Honestly, memes are just part of how things work now, so I’m happy to be included! You can’t force something like that to happen – it’s all organic. I’ve learned that trying to control things you can’t will just drive you crazy. So, I just embrace it, smile, and let it go, which is also why I stay off social media.
Jon Hamm‘s Comedic Work Deserves To Be Praised
Jon Hamm is known for taking on more dramatic roles, so audiences are often surprised when he appears in comedies. He actually had a significant run on NBC during the height of ‘Comedy Thursdays,’ appearing in shows like 30 Rock as Drew Baird, a character with two hooks for hands. He also played Ed in the final season of Parks and Recreation. Ed wasn’t the most effective employee, but he was always trying his best.
Jon Hamm frequently goes viral as a meme simply because he’s a naturally hilarious actor. While not every role will create another iconic ‘Jon Hamm dancing’ moment, it’s always possible! Ultimately, it’s up to the internet to decide what funny clip of his becomes the next big meme.
You can watch Hamm in Season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbors on Apple TV now.
