Josh Hartnett is on the mend after a car crash in Canada.
The Trap star was taken to the hospital for a short time after the car he was in crashed into a police car in St. John’s, Newfoundland, according to his representative who spoke with Page Six.
Let me tell you what happened on September 25th, according to the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary. It was early in the morning when an SUV – driven by a 59-year-old man whose name hasn’t been released – collided with a police car. Thankfully, it sounds like everyone involved will be okay. Both vehicles took a pretty good hit – they described the damage as significant – but the driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital with injuries that are thought to be minor. The officer driving the patrol car was also checked out at a local medical center, just as a precaution.
Hartnett was traveling from the set of his upcoming Netflix series, a production source told CBC.
A representative for Hartnett stated that the 47-year-old actor has been discharged from the hospital and has returned to work.
Netflix reports that filming for the project began in early August. The six-episode series was created by Jesse McKeown, a writer from The Umbrella Academy, and tells the story of a small seaside town plagued by a strange creature from the sea.
Besides Hartnett, who is also an executive producer, the series features Mackenzie Davis, Charlie Heaton, Willow Kean, Ruby Stokes, Rohan Campbell, and Kaleb Horn.
Now that he’s a father to four children with his wife, Tamsin Egerton, the actor-known for his work in Virgin Suicides-is choosing his acting roles more carefully.

Oh my gosh, you guys, I was reading an interview with him from last year in TopMob News, and he said if anyone *offered* him a movie the whole family could enjoy, he’d grab it immediately! It’s just so frustrating because he explained that Hollywood sees him differently now, and he’s not even sure those kinds of roles are coming his way anymore. It breaks my heart! I just want to see him in something everyone can love!
He continued, “However, if a project arises in the realm of animation, or something specifically created for children, I’d absolutely be interested, especially for my kids. It would be wonderful if they could attend the premiere.”
