The latest arc of Jujutsu Kaisen is nearing its conclusion, according to a recent announcement. Fans were already surprised when creator Gege Akutami quickly followed up the original series with a new story in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, just a year after its initial ending. What many didn’t expect was that this new story would be a direct sequel, taking place 80 years after the events of the first Jujutsu Kaisen.
Recent chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo have been wrapping up storylines quickly, suggesting the series is nearing its end. The latest chapter confirms this, with characters moving towards their conclusions. Following earlier reports of a major finale, it’s now clear the series will likely conclude in just a few more chapters.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo to End With Super Climax in Chapter 25
Chapter 24 of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo continues the story immediately after Maru fully uses his Cursed Technique, fundamentally altering how Cursed Energy works. It’s quickly shown that everyone who fought in the final battles is unharmed, suggesting a genuinely happy ending – a first for this series. However, as the story wraps up, questions remain about what will happen to the various alien races introduced in the sequel. Regardless, the series is coming to a close.
The latest update for Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo announced a “Super Climax” arriving with Chapter 25 next week, leaving fans to speculate about what that means. Often, this signals the story is nearing its end, with a final chapter following soon after. It could also mean Chapter 25 is the final chapter of this particular story arc. Regardless, the sequel seems to be concluding faster than many expected, considering its ambitious scope.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Was Always Going to Be Short

Despite hinting at a large-scale story for the sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen, introducing elements like aliens and a new group of sorcerers, the author, Gege Akutami, always intended for it to be brief. When the sequel began last year, Akutami confirmed it would be much shorter than the original series, likely lasting only about six months.
According to creator Akutami, the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo will be a brief, tightly-packed story covering around six months of content—about three volumes in total. With the release of Chapter 25 next week, the complete story will be ready for print. While there’s a possibility of an extra chapter later, fans should prepare for the story to conclude soon.
