Please be aware that this article contains spoilers for the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga. The highly anticipated sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen is approaching its end, with the most recent chapter wrapping up the central conflict. Just a year after the original story finished, creator Gege Akutami returned with Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, set 68 years after the events of the Culling Game. Illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, the sequel introduces a new cast of characters while also revealing what happened to Satoru Gojo’s students. The manga started appearing in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in September 2025 and quickly became popular worldwide. From the beginning, it was announced that the series would be relatively short, lasting around six months and consisting of no more than three volumes.
The story has been building to an amazing climax, and the recent battle was fantastic. Now, after the main conflict is resolved, it’s time to say goodbye to the series. Modulo will reach its six-month mark in March, and Chapter 23 strongly suggests the story is nearing its end. While we don’t know the exact date of the final chapter yet, the manga will release at least two more chapters before potentially concluding.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Concludes The Final Battle

The intense fight between Yuka Okkotsu and Dabura Kabura was suddenly stopped by Maru. It was clear Yuka wouldn’t win, no matter who – Dabura or Mahoraga – emerged victorious. Whoever was left standing would ultimately defeat her, but Yuka was prepared to sacrifice herself if it meant protecting the Jujutsu world. Even if she somehow managed to survive the battle, her illness meant her death was inevitable.
Maru’s only chance to rescue Yuka was to call upon Dabura and bring him to the spirit realm, which would disrupt the spell the young sorcerer had begun. Dabura had to return to Simuria by himself, as his continued presence would only endanger Yuka further. Maru accepted this outcome, relieved that he had saved his sister, who had been cursed by the Deskunte Chietan and held hostage.
I watched as Maru, after Dabura and his sister departed, used Mahito’s abilities to do something incredible – he saved Yuka’s life and completely healed Cross and Tsurugi from injuries that should have been fatal. He’s still determined to wipe out cursed spirits and kalyans – they’re practically the same, you can tell by the color of their souls. He’s carrying a huge weight, the guilt of everything that’s happened, but thankfully he doesn’t have to do it alone. His brother and friends are right there with him, ready to share the burden. Now, all that remains is to show what happened after Maru’s ritual, the one meant to bring peace between these two worlds.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Will Deal With The Aftermath After Chapter 23

Sorcerers and Simurians are far from finding a way to live together peacefully. Meanwhile, Yuji, still young, feels responsible for fixing the problems he’s caused. He explained to Maru that taking cursed energy from people won’t stop curses from appearing, and that there will always be consequences. Their only hope is to find a path where humans, Simurians, and curses can all coexist, though the necessary ritual would destroy all existing cursed spirits and kalyans, including the very first one originating from Simuria.
Okay, so the latest chapter really hit me hard – Yuji and Maru said goodbye, and honestly, it feels like that’s the last we’ll see of Maru. He was so important to the story, and I think his departure really sets things up for a satisfying ending. They finally broke the awful cycle of suffering caused by the curses, which is a huge relief! But, we’re not quite at the finish line yet. I’m still really worried about Megumi Fushiguro and hoping we get some answers about what’s happening with him before the series ends.
We don’t have a confirmed end date for the manga yet, but it will have at least 25 chapters in total. The next two chapters will include color pages. The first volume came out on January 5, 2026, and the second is scheduled for March 4, 2026. Currently, these volumes are only available in Japan, and it will take several months before translations and licenses become available elsewhere. You can read the latest chapters on the official Manga Plus app, where the original story is also available.
