Please be aware that this article contains spoilers from the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga! The follow-up to the original Jujutsu Kaisen series, created by Gege Akutami and illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, is reaching a critical point with an upcoming, dangerous fight between Yuka Okkotsu and Dabura. Recently, over 50,000 Simurians—aliens fleeing a civil war on their planet—arrived in Japan seeking refuge. They hoped to live peacefully alongside the Jujutsu sorcerers, but the sorcerers anticipated potential conflict and prepared for war, though their preparations proved insufficient.
Despite their overwhelming strength, the Simurians are attempting to contact Yuji Itadori, who is currently in hiding. Unfortunately, their fears were realized when Cross was critically wounded by Yakumaru during the fighting. The conflict is worsening, and Yuka Okkotsu will now represent Earth in an upcoming battle against Dabura.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Leaves No Chance For Yuka to Win

When Cross was hurt, the Simurians took over and imposed strict rules on the sorcerers, most notably preventing them from destroying cursed spirits. For generations, sorcerers had been eliminating these spirits to keep people safe, but the Simurians consider them sacred beings called Kalyans. Unable to agree with this ban on eliminating curses, the sorcerers attempted to continue their work in secret, but they were ultimately found out.
Since simply warning the sorcerers wouldn’t stop them, Dabura challenged one to a duel – a common way to determine a winner on his planet. The sorcerers chose Yuji, but when they couldn’t find him, Yuka volunteered instead. Although Yuka is skilled, Dabura is far more powerful, and Chapter 14 made it clear she doesn’t stand a chance of winning – a fact she herself acknowledges.
Yuka is very ill and only has three months to live, but she intends to make her remaining time meaningful by giving her life for something important. Tsurugi discovered her condition, and is determined to help her live as long as possible. Even if she manages to survive a dangerous fight with Dabura, which is unlikely, there’s no hope for a cure within the story, and she will ultimately die from her illness.
