Okay, huge news for Jujutsu Kaisen fans! Gege Akutami is back with a sequel manga called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo! I’m so excited about this! It’s illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki, and it takes place almost 70 years after the Culling Game – so a whole new generation of sorcerers! It started on September 7th, 2025, and we’re up to 15 chapters already. It’s planned as a relatively short series, probably around six months long and just three volumes. Things are really heating up because the peace talks between the Simurians and the sorcerers have failed, meaning we’ve officially entered the final arc! The story focuses on the Okkotsu siblings, Yuka and Tsurugi, and their encounter with Maru, a Simurian refugee who arrived on Earth with 50,000 others from his planet. Seriously, if you’re a JJK fan, you need to check this out!
Jujutsu Kaisen fans are getting a first look at the cover for volume one, shared by news source @Go_Jover on X. The volume is scheduled to launch in Japan on January 5, 2026, and is currently available for pre-order on Amazon Japan. While an English release date hasn’t been announced, it’s anticipated to arrive sometime in the latter half of 2026. This volume, featuring a striking cover by Yuji Iwasaki depicting the siblings gearing up for a fight, will contain under ten chapters across 212 pages, along with special illustrations and bonus content for fans.

The sorcerers’ biggest fear has come true: they can’t find a way to live in peace with the Simurians. Because the sorcerers continue to destroy cursed spirits, Dabura, the Simurian leader, challenges one of Earth’s fighters to a duel to resolve the conflict. The Jujutsu society initially wanted Yuji Itadori to take on this challenge, but they can’t locate him. This leaves Yuka, who is already incredibly ill and struggling with both walking and her eyesight, to take on the responsibility.
Tsurugi knows his sister would willingly give her life, even before her illness worsens, so he’s fighting Maru, trying to force him and the Simurians to leave Japan. Both battles are happening now. While Maru’s abilities are a mystery, even a brief look at Dabura’s power shows he’s much stronger than Yuka. Despite Yuka using her Ten Shadows Style to summon the powerful Mahoraga, the Simurian warrior doesn’t seem worried by the Shikigami.
The two ongoing battles will continue in future chapters, and the future of the Jujutsu world remains uncertain. Chapter 16 is set to launch on December 21, 2025, and will be available on the official Manga Plus app and the Viz Media website, where you can also read previous chapters.
