The third episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 aired this week, following a longer-than-usual premiere that covered the first two episodes. While the premiere was full of exciting action and introduced the Culling Game, this new episode dives deep into explaining how the game works. It’s one of the most informative episodes of the series, with the character Tengen providing a detailed breakdown of the rules and goals for the Jujutsu Sorcerers.
As the episode ended, it became clear that the most important task for the sorcerers is figuring out how to free Gojo Satoru, who’s currently sealed away. Tengen gave them some crucial information, and they already had one piece of the puzzle – the back side of the Prison Realm. This led to two possible ways to unseal Gojo, but it’s ironic that he actually destroyed the tools needed for both – the Inverted Spear of Heaven and the Black Rope. Luckily, Tengen also mentioned a third option: a sorcerer currently competing in the Culling Game, known as Angel, has a cursed technique that could potentially break the seal on Gojo.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3’s Most Important Character Could Bring Gojo Back
During a heated debate, Tengen and the sorcerers all agree on one goal: bringing back Gojo Satoru. Because he’s the most powerful sorcerer, Gojo is the only one who can end the Culling Game and stop Kenjaku. With the two previously known methods of revival now impossible, Tengen reveals that Angel, a sorcerer who has lived for 1,000 years and is participating in the Culling Game, has a unique ability: she can nullify other cursed techniques. This makes Angel the central figure in Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, as everyone now prioritizes finding her and getting her help to free Gojo.
Currently, we know Angel is somewhere in Tokyo’s East Colony. She’s a reincarnated sorcerer taking part in the Culling Game and appears in a body called Hana Kurusu. Although fans are eager for the other sorcerers to find her, it probably won’t happen soon. The group is still getting ready to fully enter the game, and only Yuta is participating at this moment.
Yuta is strong enough to fight his opponents, but finding Angel won’t be simple. Even if he does locate her, after being reborn after a millennium, Angel will likely ask for something in return for releasing Gojo. This means fans will have to wait for her story to unfold, as the focus will remain on other characters for now. The latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 hinted that Takaba, a new character, might be the next one in the spotlight.
