Jujutsu Kaisen is back for a third season, and it’s incredibly popular! It’s actually become the most-watched anime series globally, surpassing even long-running hits like One Piece and Attack on Titan, according to Guinness World Records.
This anime is based on the hit manga series by Gege Akutami and follows a world where jujutsu sorcery—a dangerous and supernatural art—is used to combat powerful curses born from negative human emotions.
Jujutsu Kaisen is set in a world of hidden sorcerers and dangerous curses. The story follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who develops amazing abilities after swallowing a cursed object to protect his friend.
After this, he enrolls at Tokyo Jujutsu High School, a place dedicated to battling curses. There, he discovers how to harness his abilities, masters the techniques of jujutsu sorcery, and confronts dangerous cursed spirits.
The second season finished with the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident. This attack, planned by the powerful and ancient curse user Kenjaku, resulted in Satoru Gojo, the world’s strongest sorcerer, being trapped in the Prison Realm.
