The sequel manga by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, has surprised readers with a shocking turn of events for Yuji Itadori. The story is set 68 years after the Culling Game, and most of the original characters have either passed away from old age or retired after long careers as Jujutsu sorcerers. However, Yuji Itadori faced the most tragic outcome following Ryomen Sukuna’s defeat. During the Culling Game, the situation worsens when the villain takes control of Megumi’s body and quickly challenges Satoru Gojo. The manga then moves into its final storyline, where the remaining sorcerers unite to defeat both Sukuna and Kenjaku.
When Sukuna possessed Megumi, Yuji was no longer a vessel for Ryomen Sukuna, but he could still access the powers within his own body. However, his abilities weren’t strong enough, so he absorbed the Death Paintings to gain more strength and learn Blood Manipulation. This came with a terrible cost: Yuji has lost the ability to age. Recent developments in Chapter 22 of the manga hint at a grim future awaiting Yuji after the current conflict ends.
