Following a thrilling season earlier this year, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 ended with a shocking cliffhanger and many unresolved questions. The story picks up after the devastating events of the Shibuya Incident Arc, focusing on what happens in the wake of the intense Halloween battle. This season covers both the Extermination and Perfect Preparation Arcs, leading into the Culling Games – a deadly competition orchestrated by the villain Kenjaku that forces all sorcerers to fight each other. Because the Culling Game has two parts, it will be finished in Season 4 before the anime moves onto the series’ final story arc.

Just over two months after Season 3 ended, MAPPA is gearing up to share news about what’s next for the anime. The studio is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year and will be revealing details about future projects, including Jujutsu Kaisen, which has become their most popular series. A recent post on the official X (formerly Twitter) account announced an exciting update regarding the anime’s continuation.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Will Unveil New Information in June 2026

MAPPA is hosting a special Jujutsu Kaisen event on June 19th, 2026, split into two parts. Voice actors Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori) and Megumi Ogata (Yuta Okkotsu) will be there. The event will kick off with the MAPPA Lineup Announcement, and the official X account has confirmed that new information about the fourth season of the anime will be revealed.

The event will happen in two parts. After the initial announcement finishes, the second half will be streamed on the TOHO animation YouTube channel. Both parts of the event will also be released as audio podcasts on Spotify, but only in Japanese. This update marks a significant milestone for MAPPA, who launched an anniversary website and unveiled a new logo back in March.

MAPPA announced that they’ll share updates about current and future projects—including popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan, and Dorohedoro—on their official YouTube channel. In addition to these announcements, MAPPA is planning exhibitions in cities throughout Japan, and will also release new merchandise featuring specially created artwork.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4 Will Be More Intense Than Ever

I’m really getting into this next part of the story – it looks like things are about to explode! This arc, called the Culling Game Arc, is shaping up to be the biggest one yet, with some seriously intense battles and unexpected turns. It’s been a long build-up so far, mostly introducing characters and explaining how the Culling Game works, with just glimpses of actual fighting. But everything we’ve seen seems to be leading toward a massive showdown against Ryomen Sukuna in Shinjuku.

Season 4 is going to be a game changer. I’ve heard the conflict is escalating to a whole new level, with several really strong characters getting involved in a deadly fight. While the sorcerers have figured out how to get Satoru Gojo out of the Prison Realm, it’s not going to be a simple rescue – they’re facing a ton of challenges. Plus, we’re finally going to learn what Sukuna’s been planning all along, and apparently it’s a revelation that will completely reshape the story.
