Following the success of Jujutsu Kaisen, a sequel titled Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo was announced unexpectedly a few months ago. Initially, it was stated that this new manga would be a relatively brief series, continuing the story but with a limited number of chapters unless it proved popular enough to continue. With seven chapters already released to positive reviews, it now seems likely Modulo will run its course naturally and won’t be canceled. However, it’s still designed as a shorter spin-off, and the story is moving forward at a quicker pace.
The most recent chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo might have hinted at how much longer the manga will run. In Chapter 7, “The Robbed,” Yuka Okkotsu discovers the true identity of the person she’s been with, and a surprising reveal follows: she only has six months to live. The chapter also notes that the current month within the story is October. Fans speculate that this detail, combined with Yuka’s limited lifespan, could mean the series will end in approximately six months, as manga creators often include hidden clues.
Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Sequel May Conclude by March or April 2026

The creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, Gege Akutami, has tried to keep the story’s timeline consistent with real time. The series originally started in 2018, and while the sequel takes place in the future, the matching months suggest the story is progressing at roughly the same pace as real time. Because it was planned as a short series, many believe the manga will conclude around six months from October. If there are no significant delays, it should reach approximately 30 chapters by the end of March or early April.
Given that the original Jujutsu Kaisen manga ran for 271 chapters, a sequel of around 27 chapters seems likely. While not a confirmation, the story’s current direction suggests it’s heading towards a final arc. With increasing conflict between the Simurians and humans, and the protagonist Yuka facing a life-limiting condition, the series feels like it’s building to a peak. Although the manga might continue past April of next year, most expect it to end within a year, as this sequel is intended to be short, and an official announcement of the ending could happen soon.
