Julia Roberts‘ husband is giving fans a rare peek into their family life.
The husband of the 23-year Oscar winner shared a video of their oldest son, Phinnaeus, at a skatepark on August 4th. He marveled over his smooth rail grind trick in the clip and captioned it with, “Who’s a fan of butter?” This slow-motion footage was posted by the cinematographer.
The couple usually avoids sharing details about their personal family life, but they occasionally share news about their children – Phinneas, Hazel (their twin sister), and Henry (age 17). In fact, he recently posted a seldom-seen photo of the three of them with their mother during Mother’s Day celebrations earlier this year.
“Mothers make the coolest stuff,” Danny wrote in the caption of the May 11 post. “Love these guys.”
Regarding Julia, she emphasizes that allowing her children to lead ordinary lives is crucial for her. This involves demonstrating enthusiasm for their school activities, in other words, expressing school spirit.
As I shared during a chat on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” in December 2023, two out of my three kids are currently in college. This transition has made me feel deeply connected, almost as if my entire existence revolves around their journey. I’ve found myself embracing their school colors and immersing myself fully in the experience.
Although they’ve grown up and moved out, she continues to fulfill her motherly responsibilities, albeit in a different way now.

She shared with Today the following month that she continues to parent them in the same manner, whether they are at home or not. This means asking questions like “Are you getting enough sleep?” and expressing concern when they sound unwell, such as “You sound like you’re sick,” offering suggestions like “Drink some tea,” and requesting updates on their safety, as in “Text me when you get home so I can confirm that you arrived safely.
