The former member of the Spice Girls, who established her own clothing line back in 2008, took some time to reflect upon the impact and legacy that Giorgio had made within the fashion industry.

In my own words, I (being an ardent fan) can’t help but express my profound sorrow as the fashion realm bids farewell to a genuine icon, Giorgio Armani-a visionary designer whose indelible mark on the industry will continue to resonate eternally. On September 4th, I took to Instagram Stories to pay tribute, feeling incredibly privileged to have had the honor of calling him my friend.

Despite having a long-term business rivalry with the Versace family, Donatella expressed sympathy for the loss of Gianni Versace on Instagram, stating, “Today the world lost an extraordinary figure. He left a lasting impact and will be eternally remembered.

For Julia Roberts, several of her timeless styles have been Armani designs, such as her striking oversized gray suit worn at the 1990 Golden Globes, which fashionista Ayo Edebiri recreated at the 2025 awards ceremony.

In an interview with Vogue in January 2024, I shared that one of my most cherished ensembles had made a lasting impression on me. At the time, I hadn’t anticipated it would become such a memorable statement piece. But I simply adored how I looked in it, and to this day, I still proudly own that timeless suit.

However, the actress famously known for her role in Pretty Woman had more than just a fashion connection with Giorgio. In her tribute on Instagram after his passing, she described him as a genuine friend and an iconic figure.

Back then, I was utterly spellbound when I donned my very first Armani suit at the ’97 Cannes Film Festival’s red carpet premiere of LA Confidential. The moment still gives me goosebumps!

Arnon Milchan, the producer, asked me to visit an Armani store and buy a suit using his credit card for an upcoming premiere event, as he shared in X. Since then, my appreciation for Armani suits has endured.

Ever since that particular day, the star of Gladiator has disclosed that numerous pivotal moments in his life unfolded while he was wearing clothes tailored by Armani.

In addition, it was noted that Mr. Armani has significantly impacted the realms of fashion, design, and pop culture. His dynamic energy, innovative vision, and refined artistry have left an indelible global impression.

On her Instagram Stories on September 4th, the Belve host expressed gratitude for helping empower and enlighten women, stating that each gathering, each attire chosen, was an honor bestowed upon them. They will dearly miss the presence.
