The mission-based cooperative first-person shooter game initially known as “Jump Ship,” developed by Keepsake Games, is set to be renamed “Jump Void” when it debuts in Early Access on Xbox Series and Steam this coming summer. This announcement was made alongside Coffee Stain Publishing, with a specific release date to be revealed at Gamescom 2025, which takes place from August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany.
In a press statement, Daniel Kaplan from Keepsake Games announced that they’ve chosen to call their cooperative game space “epic Jump Space.” He expressed eagerness about the upcoming launch, promising an immersive space exploration adventure where players can pilot their own spaceships. As anticipation for the game has been growing rapidly, so too has the team’s vision for its future potential. The name Jump Space better reflects the vast possibilities ahead. They will share more details regarding the Early Access release date at this year’s Gamescom event.
Here is a brief overview of the game, via Keepsake Games:
Jump Space, previously known as Jump Ship, is a team-oriented, player-versus-environment game where you and your team can smoothly transition from managing your own spaceship to foot exploration and spacewalks. The objective in each mission is to keep the ship intact while surviving, preparing for the next space jump. Along the journey, you gather useful resources, blueprints, and weapons.
2024 marked the debut of “Jump Space,” which attracted over half a million players to traverse nebulas and delve into galaxies during the June Steam Next Fest. Remarkably, it secured a place among the “Top 3 Most Played Demos” during the event. With the Early Access launch drawing nearer, over one million eager gamers have added the game to their wishlist on Steam, excitedly awaiting its release.
