On September 10, the psychological horror game “KARMA: the Dark World” for Xbox Series is set to be released, as confirmed by both its publishers, Wired Productions, and developers, Pollard Studio.
Initially released on March 27 for both PlayStation 5 and PC platforms (Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) is the game titled KARMA: the Dark World.
The Xbox Series version will ship with an exclusive green camera filter in photo mode.
Here is an overview of the game, via Wired Productions:
In the game “KARMA: the Dark World“, players delve into the intricate and chilling mysteries hidden within the minds of their subjects, presented in a first-person, cinematic psychological horror setting.
In an alternate reality that finds post-war Germany plunged into a grim, dystopian future under the iron rule of the Leviathan Corporation, which employs extensive surveillance and advanced mind control technology – what initially appears as just another assignment for Roam Agent Daniel McGovern, rapidly transforms into a journey of revelation and disillusionment. As he delves deeper, he encounters a web of deceit and treachery that makes him question not only the world around him but also his own identity.
Drawing inspiration from visionaries like David Lynch (“Twin Peaks”), Hideo Kojima (“Metal Gear Solid”, “Death Stranding”), and Christopher Nolan (“Inception”, “Interstellar”), “KARMA: the Dark World” aims to redefine immersive storytelling. Crafted in Unreal Engine 5, this game promises an enthralling and visually breathtaking journey.
