Kathy Griffin Swaps Out Red Hair in Blonde Hair Transformation

Kathy Griffin is trying something new. 

For decades, the 65-year-old has been known for her red hair, often styled with bangs. Recently, she surprised everyone by changing to platinum blonde.

Kathy debuted a new look on March 16th, sporting long, bleached blonde hair and bangs, while keeping her eyebrows their signature red. In the photos, the comedian gave a playful smile, playfully biting her finger in one and framing her face with her hands in another to show off the icy blonde color.

Kathy playfully hinted at her ever-changing style, writing, “You thought you had me figured out…” to her fans.

She didn’t say if her lighter hair was a wig or a real change, but one fan joked about a “wig expansion” in the comments. Regardless, people had plenty to say about her new appearance.

“KATHY IT LOOKS SO GOOD,” one user wrote, while another added, “I LOVE THISSSS.”

While others simply summed up their feelings with a series of fire emojis. 

Kathy recently celebrated her 65th birthday with a bold appearance on Sherri Shepherd‘s show – she wore a red bikini! This adventurous spirit isn’t unexpected, though, as she genuinely feels young and vibrant.

Kathy recently shared with New York magazine’s The Cut that she unexpectedly fell in love with a 23-year-old man. She explained that he lacked the ingrained prejudices and biases she often encounters with men her own age, making her feel truly seen and comfortable. She admitted it sounds cliché, but she felt genuinely happy and at ease simply spending time with him.

Even though she admitted their relationship wasn’t meant to last, she still feels thankful for the time they had together.

She shared on Instagram the day before her 65th birthday that she was having trouble believing she was about to turn that age, saying she still felt 25.

Kathy’s energetic spirit isn’t limited to her changing style; it’s apparent in many areas of her life.
