Katy Perry’s Friday nights are looking different these days. 

Katy used to be known for wild behavior, but now she spends her time – especially weekday afternoons – with her new partner, Justin Trudeau. Their relationship involves a lot of formal events and meetings, as you’d expect when dating a former Prime Minister of Canada.

Pop star Katy Perry and her husband, Justin, recently met with Japan’s former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who served from 2021 to 2024, and his wife, Yuko Kishida.

A Japanese politician shared on December 4th that he had lunch with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and singer Katy Perry. He noted that he and Trudeau had a good working relationship while in office and expressed his happiness that they’ve remained friends.

They first sparked rumors when they were spotted having dinner a few months ago, and things have been steadily growing since then. It’s lovely to see them sharing more of their relationship with us, especially as Katy’s a mom to Daisy and Justin’s already a dad of three. I’m really rooting for them!

Sophie, who split from Justin in 2023, explained to Arlene Dickinson on the November 12th episode of the Arlene Is Alone podcast that she understands how easily public events can be upsetting. She emphasized that how she chooses to grow and change through this experience is entirely up to her.

She explained that, as people, we’re all affected by things that happen around us. However, she believes how we respond is up to us, and she personally chooses to focus on the positive – to listen to the good instead of dwelling on negativity.
