Kevin Federline Shares Rare Update on His and Britney Spears’ Sons

Sean Preston Federline and Jayden James Federline are all grown up. 

Oh my gosh, you guys, I just read a sneak peek of Kevin Federline‘s memoir, *You Thought You Knew*, and it’s *everything*. He’s finally talking about Sean and Jayden, and it’s so heartbreaking and amazing! He says they’ve *really* started to become themselves now that they’ve had some space from Britney. Like, they’re finally finding who they are without all the craziness around her ‘Circus’ days. I’m dying to read the whole thing when it comes out on October 21st – I need to know *everything*!

Kevin said that Preston, now twenty, seemed much more relaxed. He appeared more self-assured and comfortable, as if he was finally coming out of his shell. Preston used to be very quiet, but he had begun to socialize, spend time with friends, and create new experiences.

Kevin also mentioned that their 19-year-old son is discovering his passion for music and really focusing on it.

Kevin explained that he was allowed to practice in the school band room, despite not being able to read sheet music.

I’ve noticed something really sweet – both of these young guys are clearly taking after their parents, pursuing careers in the arts just like them. It’s wonderful to see that legacy continuing!

Kevin explained that while they’re both pursuing different career directions, music will remain important to them in some form—perhaps through creating music, designing sound for movies, or other avenues. He believes they’ve established a strong base to build upon, something they achieved through their own efforts.

Although the Federline boys have been close friends since childhood and support each other through difficult times, they are also individuals with their own unique personalities.

Kevin describes Preston as thoughtful, sensitive, and a calming influence, with a clever and artistic mind, and a real passion for music. He contrasts this with Jayden, who he calls energetic, outgoing, and full of life. Kevin remembers Jayden as a child who loved to perform, making dinosaur roars and realistic sound effects – a natural charisma that now drives his musical pursuits.

Okay, so Kevin said Preston and Jayden’s trip to Hawaii was, like, totally life-changing for them, which is amazing! But honestly, I’m not surprised Jayden’s *already* back in LA. He’s so dedicated to his music, he just *has* to be! It’s everything to him, and I can’t wait to hear what he creates now that he’s back in the studio. I knew he wouldn’t stay away for long!

Kevin said Jayden is back in Los Angeles, pursuing his music career. He also mentioned that Preston is figuring out adulthood. Seeing both boys mature has made him incredibly proud, and he feels they’re well-prepared for whatever comes next.

Kevin detailed the difficult relationship his sons had with their mother, explaining that they were often afraid to stay at her house. He was glad, however, that Preston and Jayden remained close to Britney’s siblings, particularly her sister Jamie Lynn Spears and brother Bryan Spears. He felt this connection was especially important for them during a challenging time, and it brought him happiness to see.

As a longtime supporter of Britney, I was really disheartened to hear about Kevin’s upcoming book. Her team released a statement to TopMob News on October 14th, and honestly, it just confirms what many of us have felt for a while – he’s continuing to profit from her story, and it’s especially upsetting that this is happening now, after he’s no longer receiving child support payments.

She’s primarily focused on the well-being of her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, especially given the intense media attention. She shared her personal story and experiences in her memoir, *The Woman in Me*.
