Kevin Jonas Threw Up During Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra’s First Date

Kevin Jonas made sure Priyanka Chopra was burning up for Nick Jonas.

The oldest Jonas Brother shared that he happened to be present when Priyanka and Nick had their very first date eight years ago, though his night wasn’t quite as romantic as his brother’s.

Kevin said on their podcast, Hey Jonas, that it was a really fun night. He explained he spent a lot of effort helping his brother, even to the point of getting sick and then quickly recovering to keep going.

Joe Jonas, 36, followed up with a mournful sound from his device, and Kevin, 38, responded with enthusiastic applause, saying, “No, no, no! Praise! Clap, clap, clap.”

Although Nick, 33, didn’t share the details of what made him ill, he recalled the night itself going smoothly, calling it a skillful maneuver.

Let me tell you about how Nick and Priyanka’s love story began! It’s so sweet. They first met when they went to see Beauty and the Beast at the Hollywood Bowl – but it wasn’t a typical one-on-one date! They actually had a whole group of friends join them. It was December 2018, and now, years later, they’re happily married with their adorable daughter, Malti, who’s already four!

Nick shared on the Therapuss podcast that he suggested inviting friends to a date to make things more relaxed. He explained, ‘I thought having a group would take some of the pressure off.’ She brought her best friend, and he invited Kevin, as well as Greg and Paris, two other friends of his. They all ended up having a fantastic time at the event.

And as the “Jealous” singer recalled, Kevin was “overly hyping” him up to the Citadel actress. 

Nick explained that whenever someone mentioned baseball, Kevin would always bring up Nick’s potential as a professional player. Nick found this a very typical, and heartwarming, Jersey thing for Kevin to say.

Of course, Priyanka quickly caught on to Kevin’s wingman moves.

Nick explained that she seemed to think his brother was excessively complimenting him. Nick himself thought his brother just wanted things to go smoothly, and ultimately, they ended up kissing passionately that night.

Priyanka and Nick got engaged in July 2018 and were married five months after that. Even though their relationship moved quickly, Priyanka felt certain Nick was the right person for her.

“Nick is exactly the type of person my dad would have chosen for me,” actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared on the Mythical Kitchen podcast Last Meals in March. She explained that her father, who passed away in 2013, was passionate about music. “Music was my dad’s greatest love – he enjoyed both singing and listening to it, and really appreciated the skill and creativity involved.”

The speaker, who is 43 years old, described Nick as a very insightful person and believes he would have wanted a partner who was equally wise – someone unlike themselves.
