Khloe Kardashian isn’t keeping up with all the latest technology.
Kim Kardashian revealed she’s very scared of artificial intelligence. She explained that seeing AI-created videos of her late father, Robert Kardashian, has increased her discomfort with the technology.
Khloe Kardashian admitted on her podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, that while people might find it endearing, even AI-generated videos of her father kissing her make her uneasy. She said she couldn’t quite put her finger on why it bothered her, but it felt a little creepy.
Khloe also had concerns about how the video portrayed her sisters – Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner – in addition to what it showed of her late defense attorney, who passed away in 2003 at age 59 after fighting esophageal cancer.
The comedian, 41, said that with AI becoming more advanced, she’s starting to see videos that appear to be of her and her sisters. She often has to send these videos to them, asking if they actually said the things shown. Most of the time, she finds out it isn’t really them – it’s AI creating the content, which she finds deeply unsettling.
The founder of Good American explained that they’ve previously worked to take down AI-generated content online, but she added that the positive intentions of her fans creating the videos haven’t altered her overall view on the matter.
She admitted she didn’t understand a recent trend, saying, “People are doing it because they think it’s a good thing, but I just find it strange. I’m not sure why it bothers me so much.”
As artificial intelligence gets more sophisticated, Khloe expressed worries about its effects on future generations, including her children with Tristan Thompson, True, 7, and Tatum, 3.
She hopes her children will always value connecting with people in person. She misses the days when people would casually call each other just to chat and catch up, something she feels doesn’t happen much anymore.
