Here’s my attempt: I can’t help but marvel at Kim Kardashian once again making headlines with an unforgettable fashion statement! Following a fun-filled family outing at Jeff Bezos’ wedding and some sunshine moments with Khloé, Kim turned heads at Paris Fashion Week. Her captivating femme fatale ensemble was a sight to behold, but what truly set this moment apart was its connection to the iconic Elizabeth Taylor and a staggering $650,000 price tag – making it a fashion moment worthy of celebration!
Kris Jenner, the head of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, provided us with this stunning video of Kim Kardashian strutting her stuff on the Balenciaga runway. In the clip, Kim is wearing a cream colored slip dress and a long fur coat of the same shade, while bedecked in diamonds. Don’t miss it!

As Jenner’s caption noted, this was the last show for Balenciaga’s creative director, Demna. Her daughter certainly made a statement during it, too, as Kim K. noted in her Instagram post about the event that she wore earrings that came from Elizabeth Taylor’s private collection.
Furthermore, as per Maxwell Stone, a diamond expert from Steven Stone, the value of those stunning Lorraine Schwartz earrings is approximately six hundred and fifty thousand dollars, according to Hello Magazine.
I’d approximate the current worth of those earrings to be around $650,000, which is quite a substantial increase since Lorraine Schwartz bought them at an auction back in 2011 for $374,500.
As the expert explains, these earrings exhibit a timeless “girandole” design, adorned with three elegant drop-shaped pendants. Hanging gracefully above a plaque embellished with diamonds set in flowers and bows, they exude an air of grandeur and opulence that is truly breathtaking!
Apart from their breathtaking beauty as diamond earrings, the rich history that accompanies them significantly enhances their worth. Stone elaborated on this point.
These earrings carry an air of old Hollywood glamour. During a trip to Paris with her husband, film producer Mike Todd, Elizabeth Taylor stumbled upon the original pair (although they were made from imitation gems). She fell in love with them immediately. Later on, Mike presented her with a bespoke replica, crafted entirely out of diamonds. Recently, the stunning earrings have resurfaced in Paris once more, adorning Kim Kardashian for an iconic catwalk appearance.
As a movie enthusiast, I couldn’t help but be captivated by these sparkling diamonds at first sight. Yet, it’s their intriguing history that leaves me absolutely spellbound. Not only do they complete the ensemble flawlessly, but their grandeur is perfectly contrasted with the understated elegance of the clothing. It’s as if I’m witnessing a powerful mob wife or an irresistible femme fatale right before my eyes – truly a breathtaking sight!
Another instance showcases Kim Kardashian venturing into historical fashion once more. Notably, she donned Marilyn Monroe’s gown at the Met Gala in 2022, and it appears she drew inspiration from this classic Hollywood figure yet again in 2024.
Undeniably, although Kim Kardashian is famed for her daring fashion experiments, she equally appreciates traditional elegance. This recent appearance exemplifies this trait, leaving me completely smitten. The Old Hollywood style suits her remarkably well, and whenever she dons an outfit akin to the one displayed above, my jaw drops in awe.
It’d be fantastic if, when The Kardashians comes back for Hulu viewers, we can learn about the story behind that extravagant pair of earrings they were wearing. I’m curious to find out how they managed to get their hands on those pricey accessories and how Kim Kardashian felt as she strutted down the runway in them.
