Kimora Lee Simmons Details “Shock” Over Daughter Aoki Dating Older Man

Kimora Lee Simmons quickly became involved when she learned about her daughter’s romantic life.

Kimora Lee Simmons recently shared how she felt when she found out her 23-year-old daughter, Aoki Lee Simmons, briefly dated 44-year-old restaurant owner Vittorio Assaf earlier this year.

Kimora was especially shocked when photos surfaced online of Aoki and Vittorio, 65, showing affection for each other in St. Barths.

She explained that things escalated very quickly, and she was surprised to learn about it at the same time everyone else did. As she shared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast with Amanda Hirsch on December 8th, she was just as shocked as the public when the news broke.

Kimora shared that she didn’t really approve of the relationship, as she’d been in comparable situations herself.

She continued, explaining that because she’d experienced a comparable relationship – a significant age difference, as she put it – she believes it can be predatory.

Even so, Kimora Lee Simmons was careful to stay calm when she talked to her daughter.

I didn’t express it like that because things happened so quickly,” she said, snapping her fingers for emphasis. “It quickly became a much bigger issue, and after that, I couldn’t just question what was happening. But that was absolutely the core of the problem.

Kimora, who has five children – 25-year-old Ming Lee Simmons with Russell Simmons, 16-year-old Kenzo Lee Hounsou with Djimon Hounsou, 15-year-old Gary Lee Leissner with Tim Leissner, and 10-year-old Wolfe Lee, whom she adopted in 2020 – says the recent relationship ended almost as quickly as it began.

She explained that it wasn’t a significant event for them, or perhaps it was the opposite – it was simply a fleeting moment, and nothing more.

Ultimately, Kimora wants her children to learn from their own experiences, even though, as a public figure, their mistakes are often highly visible.

She explained that constantly living your life publicly is incredibly difficult. “That’s exactly what we’ve been talking about,” she added.

TopMob News reached out to a rep for Vittorio for comment but has not heard back.

Kimora and Russell welcomed daughter Aoki on Aug. 16, 2002.

Beyond her work as a model, Aoki is also a gifted student. She was accepted into Harvard University at the young age of 16 and earned her degree in 2023.

Kimora and ex Djimon Hounsou are parents to Kenzo, born May 30, 2009.

Kenzo, now a teenager, is almost 6 feet 8 inches tall and has quickly become a standout player for his high school basketball team – he’s already taller than both of his parents!

In 2020, Kimora welcomed 10-year-old Gary into her family through adoption, sharing her love and expanding her family.

Now in high school, Gary has found a passion for football.

Wolfe, nicknamed “Wolfie,” was born April 10, 2015 to Kimora and ex Tim Leissner.

While not Kimora’s biological son, Kimora acts as mama to “bonus son” Jayden.
