King of Meat to end service on April 9; all purchases to be refunded

Amazon Games and Glowmade have announced that King of Meat, their cooperative combat game, will no longer be playable after April 9th. Players can still enjoy the game until then, and everyone who bought it will receive a full refund soon.

King of Meat became available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (through Steam) on October 7, 2025. A version for the Nintendo Switch was scheduled to follow in early 2026.

Here is the full message from Amazon Games regarding the game’s termination:

It’s been wonderful seeing players have fun with the lively and unpredictable world of King of Meat since its release.

Even though Glowmade put a lot of creative effort and new ideas into King of Meat, the game hasn’t attracted as many players as we expected. Because of this, we’ve made the tough decision to stop supporting the game, and the servers will shut down on April 9, 2026. You’ll still be able to play everything currently available until then, so we hope you enjoy your remaining time with the King of Meat community.

Anyone who bought the game King of Meat will get a full refund from their platform (like Steam, PlayStation, etc.) in the next few weeks.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who played King of Meat! Seriously, the community that grew around the game was amazing, and all your passion, creativity, and feedback meant so much to the whole team at Glowmade and me. We’re really grateful for Glowmade’s support and dedication throughout development, and we wish them all the best in their future projects.
