During the gap between seasons thirteen and fourteen, Dale Gribble found himself in quite an eventful period. In a surprising turn of events, Dale was elected as the mayor of Arlen, Texas, due to his conspiracy theories striking a chord with the townspeople. This development may not have been anticipated by many viewers. However, Dale relinquished the mayoral position when he began to doubt the honesty of the election that led him there. Back at his pest control business, Dale’s personality remains much the same, but behind the scenes, changes have occurred in his character.
Sadly, Johnny Hardwick, the voice actor for Dale Gribble, passed away before the recording of the fourteenth season could be completed in its entirety. To pay tribute to the actor and ensure that Dale Gribble continued to feature on the show, Toby Huss stepped into the role, ensuring that Arlen’s resident Dale would still have a significant presence.
