After two big Nintendo Direct presentations, it’s obvious that Kirby Air Riders has a lot going for it. But even though Masahiro Sakurai’s Super Smash Bros. games usually receive updates and extra content after release, there aren’t any plans for downloadable content (DLC) for this new racing game.
Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that this game is the complete package – no plans for any DLC or sequels. I really poured everything I had into making this the best experience it could be, so I hope you all enjoy it! I’m super grateful for all the support you showed the first game – it honestly wouldn’t have been possible without you and the hard work of so many talented people. It’s amazing to see this sequel finally come to life!
Things are subject to change, particularly if the game does really well – we’ve seen that happen with titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch. But even if that happens, it doesn’t necessarily mean Masahiro Sakurai will be involved, as he might choose to work on a different project.
Get ready to soar with Kirby Air Riders, launching November 20th on Nintendo Switch 2! The game brings back the popular City Trial mode and introduces Top Ride Mode, letting you race against friends or the computer from a bird’s-eye view. A Story Mode is also included, and Kirby fans should enjoy a deeper dive into the game’s universe. You can find more information in the opening movie linked here.
