Prior to Bella Ramsey’s role in “The Last of Us”, they were known for portraying Lyanna Mormont on the series, which featured Kit Harington as Jon Snow. Now, these two talented actors have come together again and reminisced about an embarrassing tale from the Game of Thrones set.

Recently, I had a chat with Kit Harington, and I asked him if there was a moment in our show that he found slightly awkward. He recalled an instance, one he seems to remember clearly now, causing him some regret – it was during the scene where Snow approaches Lyanna Mormont. Intriguingly, he admitted he was actually mouthing my lines to me at that time.

In a later conversation, Ramsey expressed, “‘Gosh, I can’t believe how awkward!’ was my reaction, but at the moment, it stemmed from an innocent desire to help, as I realized you were having trouble with your lines. Kit admitted, ‘I do recall your assistance and it was rather embarrassing. [Laughs] But thank you for that. I think I’ve decided to brush that memory aside.‘

Ramsey inquired if Harington found the delivery of lines irritating, and he replied, “Not at all. In fact, it made me feel, ‘Oh dear, I need to step up my performance.’ I came here underestimating the challenge, assuming I was just opposite a child actor. But that child performer was outshining me.” This isn’t a contest, but you find yourself thinking, “I’ve grown complacent.

There seemed to be no tension whatsoever between Ramsey and Harington, on the contrary, Harington was brimming with admiration for Ramsey and the rapid success of their career. He even went as far as to say, “You brought a level of confidence and clarity that was quite uncommon for such a young actor.” It wasn’t like working with a child; rather, it felt like collaborating with a seasoned professional.

As a fan, I must admit that during an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show, Gordon Ramsay confided that he had just recently reached a stage where he could watch the show again without discomfort. In his own words, “I’m only at a point now I can watch it,” he shared with Ross. He went on to say, “It made me cringe a bit.” The idea of it being him was initially strange, but as time passed, he grew accustomed to it.

Ramsey’s portrayal of Lyanna on the show significantly boosted their popularity, as they were highly favored by fans. The exceptional talent in casting child actors on Game of Thrones, evident in Jack Gleeson’s portrayal of Joffrey, was also evident in Ramsey’s performance.
