Iconic Aussie soap Neighbours has officially wrapped on filming for the final time.
The television series is set to conclude on screens in December 2025. On this day, Friday, 11th July, the cast wrapped up filming their last scenes at Ramsay Street, which is actually Nunawading studios.
In 2022, Amazon temporarily stored the soap, only to bring it back the next year. Regrettably, that arrangement has now been terminated.
Speaking about Neighbours, Jason Herbison commented: “This series has a unique charm and it’s been an honor to produce the latest seasons for our dedicated global audience. We’ve added another 460 episodes to our impressive archive of over 9000, which we’re all extremely proud of.
As a devoted fan, I eagerly await the next installment of life on Ramsay Street. It promises to leave us on a note of optimism, hinting at intriguing prospects for what’s to come in the story’s continuation.
The renowned cast members are reminiscing about the soap that just celebrated its 40th anniversary, with Stefan Dennis stating: “I never imagined a single show would provide me with the most remarkable journeys of my career, lasting 40 years. If not for Neighbours, I wouldn’t have crossed paths with incredible people, visited extraordinary places, and lived unforgettable moments. Thank you all.

Alan Fletcher remarked: “For more than three decades, Neighbours has been my cherished haven. The creative liberty and infectious energy of the entire crew have enabled us to create an exceptional series for such a lasting period.
Susan Kennedy, portrayed by Jackie Woodburne, expressed her feelings: “It’s hard to quantify the immense gratitude I hold for spending 30 years on Neighbours. To truly gauge it, I’d need to tally the remarkable cast and crew I’ve had the fortune of collaborating with, add up the countless laughs we’ve shared, and attempt to quantify the pride I feel for the wide range of dramatic (and at times, audacious!) stories we’ve collectively created.
We are truly a wonderful family unit, journeying through life’s ups and downs happily. I wouldn’t trade this experience for any amount of money!
