Netflix is creating a new animated movie based on Roald Dahl’s classic, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Set to come out in 2027, the film will reimagine the story with a fresh adventure, original music, and both new and familiar characters. It will keep the same British feel as the original. The animation is being done by Sony Pictures Imageworks, the studio behind films like KPop Demon Hunters and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Both shows, starring Titus Welliver as detective Harry Bosch, focus on characters who expose corruption within law enforcement while also tracking down criminals. Reacher has effectively captured the same appeal that made Bosch so popular.
