I’m so excited! The Expanse: A Telltale Series Deluxe Edition just dropped on the Nintendo Switch! I saw the announcement from Telltale Games and Deck Nine Games – it’s available now in the eShop for $29.99. Can’t wait to play!

The first season of The Expanse: A Telltale Series released on July 27, 2023, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (through Steam and the Epic Games Store). It consists of five episodes.

Set hundreds of years in the future, The Expanse is a TV show adapted from the novels by James S.A. Corey—the joint pen name of authors Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck, who also write and produce the series. The story takes place across a colonized solar system, where growing conflicts exist between three major power groups. The show centers on a diverse group of characters from Earth, Mars, and the asteroid belt who stumble upon a dangerous conspiracy that could shatter the existing peace. The Expanse is widely acclaimed for its stunning visuals, well-developed characters, and complex political storyline.

Players step into the boots of Camina Drummer, portrayed by Cara Gee, a resourceful leader scavenging for treasure in the dangerous outer reaches of The Belt. As Drummer, you’ll navigate complex relationships with your crew, survive a violent uprising, and venture into uncharted territory. Your choices will determine the fate of the Artemis and its crew. Explore derelict ships, use magnetic boots to traverse walls and ceilings, and utilize Zero-G thrusters to float through ship interiors and the vastness of space in Telltale’s biggest and most engaging exploration game yet.

The Deluxe Edition of the game features everything in the main story, plus an extra episode starring Shohreh Aghdashloo as Chrisjen Avasarala, her iconic character from The Expanse. This new episode, called ‘Archangel,’ lets players see the story from Avasarala’s point of view, as she deals with political challenges, family issues, and crises across the solar system on a pivotal day in her life.
