ComingSoon is giving fans a first look at a special reward for backers of the Wandering Planet Toys Kickstarter campaign. The reward is an action figure of Carl Kolchak, the star of the classic 1974 television series, Kolchak: The Night Stalker.
What Kolchak: The Night Stalker action figure is also available?
The popular indie toy maker is teaming up with Monstrous to produce officially licensed figures of Carl Kolchak and his famous enemy, the vampire Janos Skorzeny. This is the first time these characters will be available as official figures.
Wandering Planet Toys is launching a Kickstarter to fund a new Kolchak figure. Fans can also get a special two-figure set – “Blood-Splattered Kolchak versus The Night Stalker” – which features a bloodied version of Kolchak and the vampire Janos Skorzeny (as portrayed by Barry Atwater in the original series). This set recreates their climactic showdown.
Check out the exclusive look at the Janos Skorzeny action figure below:

Chris Wyatt, co-founder of Wandering Planet, says they’ve always wanted to create a Kolchak action figure. They’ve dreamed of seeing the famously grumpy Carl Kolchak investigating spooky mysteries as a toy for years! They’re now working with Monstrous to make that dream come true, and they’re excited to share it with all toy collectors.
Kolchak: The Night Stalker, which first aired in 1974, centers around Carl Kolchak, a news reporter played by Darren McGavin, who investigates strange and unusual crimes. Although the show only lasted for 20 episodes, it’s considered highly influential, especially on shows like The X-Files – its creator, Chris Carter, has often talked about how much it inspired him. The series was briefly brought back in 2005.
