Nobody wants to have tension with their coworker.
Kristen Bell is happy she and Erin Foster, the creator of Nobody Wants This, worked through some initial creative differences regarding her character, Joanne, a podcast host who explores sex and relationships, in the Netflix series.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Kristen explained that she challenged the script with a lot of questions because she wasn’t fully connecting with her character’s emotions like she usually does. She now realizes how much uncertainty exists in real life and understands the choices her character, Erin, was making.
Kristen Bell, known for her role in Veronica Mars and also a producer on this new series, shared that it took a while for her to get comfortable with the show’s lighthearted, romantic feel. Adam Brody plays her character’s rabbi and love interest in the series.
Kristen admitted that she used to get frustrated with Erin, often reacting with eye rolls and thinking, ‘You just don’t get it.’
She didn’t realize just how much people would connect with the idea until the first season became a huge hit.
Kristen explained that after watching the show and, more importantly, seeing the audience react to it, she realized the writer was capturing relatable, everyday experiences – like those of people you know personally. She added that the success of the show wasn’t the only reason the second season felt smoother; it was also because she and the writer, Erin, finally connected and understood each other.
She predicts Erin Foster’s unique style will become a common point of reference in the TV and film industry. She imagines people will start comparing things to her work, saying it’s ‘Erin Foster-esque,’ much like they do with directors like Tim Burton and Wes Anderson. She just didn’t fully recognize the impact of her style during the first season.

TopMob News reached out to Erin for comment but hasn’t heard back.
Kristen wasn’t alone in questioning the scripts for Nobody Wants This, a show based on Erin’s actual relationship with her husband, Simon Tikhman. In fact, Erin said the first version of the script was turned down by many studios, who often told her it didn’t feel substantial enough.

Everything changed when Erin met with Netflix. From that point on, she—the daughter of David Foster and Rebecca Dyer—was determined to complete her project, despite any doubts others might have.
Erin said she felt like this was her one opportunity to put on a show, and she refused to let anyone talk her out of it, even if they doubted her abilities.
I’m so excited! The second season of Nobody Wants This is coming to Netflix on October 23rd! If you’re like me and need a little something to hold you over until then, Netflix also has a bunch of other shows featuring celebrities who’ve had their differences – it’s perfect to check those out while we wait!

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, two months after announcing he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)
He assured Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay. He explained they went through a personal issue, but it’s separate from their work on the show and wasn’t related to romance. It was a private matter that had been building up between them.
Okay, so there was some talk online in March 2024 about me supposedly trying to get Jeremiah Brent on Queer Eye instead of Bobby Berk. Honestly, it was a bit of a shock to see those claims! I want to be clear – that just wasn’t true. I never campaigned to have anyone replaced on the show. It’s always been about supporting the whole team and celebrating everyone’s unique talents.
Netflix and the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately landed it because they were the most qualified. I also want to be clear that I didn’t help them get the part by having anyone else removed from consideration, as he explained in an Instagram post.

After years of speculation about a disagreement, Holly Marie Combs, Shannen Doherty’s former co-star on Charmed, revealed on her December 2023 podcast, Let’s Be Clear, that Alyssa Milano supposedly gave a show producer an ultimatum: choose her or Shannen. Combs claims this led to Shannen leaving the show in 2001.
In February 2024, Alyssa posted on Instagram, stating she couldn’t get anyone fired and that any current accounts of the events were simply rewriting history because they happened so long ago.
At a MegaCon Orlando panel, Shannen stated that, to her knowledge, the true story of what happened hasn’t been changed or rewritten.
Shannen passed away in July 2024 after a yearslong battle with cancer.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter Kelly Osbourne on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that actor Topher Grace was the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a “rude, rude, rude, rude little boy” and a “dastardly little thing.”
He did not respond to her remarks publicly.
You know, I remember when Ashton Kutcher was on The Talk back in 2014. I was chatting with Larry King a few years later about it, and I mentioned that Ashton seemed a little put out when I accidentally mispronounced his name on the show. It just had a bit of an attitude to it, honestly!
She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ She responded sharply, telling him, ‘Don’t underestimate me, because I will completely overwhelm you.’ She finished by saying, ‘You have no idea what you’re up against.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, and expressed her enjoyment of a feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, explaining that Bure had once refused to pose for a photo with her on a red carpet. Shortly after, Cameron Bure apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings as an 11-year-old fan and expressed her remorse for not taking the picture.
Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday films, she said it wouldn’t, explaining that the network will continue to focus on traditional marriage.
JoJo, who publicly shared they are part of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021, responded to the actress’ comment on Instagram, calling it “rude and hurtful to the entire LGBTQ+ community.”

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed that Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for Courtney’s band, Hole, in a promotional photo without giving credit. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, “Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! DM me for details! I look forward to reading your note [winking face emoji].”

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained the reason for his difficult relationship with the Forrest Gump star while filming the 1989 movie Turner & Hooch.
I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, told me to pack up and go home, saying I had everything I needed.
Winkler and Hanks’ dog seemed to hit it off. “I really loved that dog,” Winkler said. “We got along great.”
He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”
Anyone who watched The Hills probably remembers that famous line from Lauren, spoken at the start of season three. The drama between her and Heidi began when Heidi started dating Spencer Pratt, and it really exploded when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and Jason Wahler making a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out after the release date for Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham was announced, scheduled for 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne Johnson remained involved.
Tyrese recently discussed the conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that they still haven’t spoken directly. He mentioned he did talk to one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not Johnson himself, and hopes to have a conversation with him soon.
Tyrese admitted he shouldn’t have publicly shared frustrations he heard from others involved with the franchise. He explained he was the one who spoke out, which he acknowledges was a mistake, calling it unprofessional and ‘not cool’.

No more bad blood here.
Taylor Swift and Katy Perry had a long-running public disagreement, rumored to be the inspiration behind Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The conflict, which began with issues over a dancer and competition during their tours, was resolved when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s Reputation Tour began.
Oh my gosh, you guys, I just walked back to my dressing room and there was, like, a REAL olive branch just sitting there! It seriously means the world to me, I can’t even explain! It’s just…so thoughtful and amazing!
Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and subsequently made some pointed remarks about her co-star.
During a September 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall telling Piers Morgan that they were simply colleagues, not friends.
She was deeply upset, explaining she was “just heartbroken.” They had discussed it all week, and she found it really disturbing because her memory of what happened was completely different.
It’s definitely sad, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we had. While it started as a professional project, it became deeply personal because we all invested so many years of our lives into it. I’m hoping that those years, and the special connection we all felt, will ultimately be more important than any recent disagreements. It was a real privilege to be a part of something so meaningful and connect with people in that way.
And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

Elton John and Madonna have been publicly disagreeing since 2004. The conflict began when Elton, while accepting an award, criticized Madonna’s live performances, saying she relied too much on lip-syncing. He famously told the audience that anyone who pretends to sing live when people have paid to see a concert deserves harsh criticism.

The actress, formerly on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to no longer be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think her storylines that season were strong enough to deserve a nomination.
Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine’s choice in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “When someone consistently demonstrates their true character, you should believe them,” Rhimes explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s been a valuable lesson for me.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week made headlines everywhere. A month later, Cardi explained what started the argument with Nicki.
Cardi B told W magazine that someone has been repeatedly criticizing her. She explained that they had talked twice and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.
The conflict really escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had reportedly liked, and then quickly unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s skills as a mother – something Nicki claims she didn’t do.
Cardi B explained that she chose to be with her daughter instead of pursuing a very profitable Bruno Mars tour, potentially earning millions. She strongly emphasized her love for her daughter and her dedication as a mother, and expressed frustration that someone without children would criticize her choices. She also pointed out that opportunities to meet artists unexpectedly are rare, and she wasn’t going to pass up this one because of where it happened.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. While they later reconciled and became friends, their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.
Just before the Grammy Awards in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Swift didn’t publicly acknowledge it.

“I don’t know her.”
The supposed rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez has been talked about for over 15 years. It began during an interview where Mariah was asked about other singers, and when asked about Jennifer, she famously said, “I don’t know her.”
