Victoria Villarroel knew when it was time for her to stop keeping up with the Kardashians.
Kylie Jenner’s former assistant, who worked for her between 2015 and 2020, shared a specific memory of when they both realized it was time for her to leave. She told Kylie’s close friend, Stassie Karanikolaou, that she remembered the moment vividly.
On the March 18th episode of Better Half with Stas and Vic, Victoria described her relationship with Kylie as feeling like a long-term friendship. She explained that because they worked together so closely and shared so much of their lives – through both good times and bad – they naturally became very close. It’s hard not to become close to someone you see and know so well every day.
The 34-year-old explained that she was in the kitchen with Kylie when Kylie said she needed her laptop, which was upstairs.
Victoria chuckled, saying, “Oh man, who’s going to have to fetch that?” and added, “I definitely don’t want to go get your laptop.”
Honestly, it was heartbreaking, but Kylie and Victoria both knew it was time for her to chase something new. And I just know Victoria is so thankful for how amazing Kylie was through it all – she always makes everything easier, even when it’s tough. It just proves what a genuinely good person Kylie is!

Victoria described feeling incredible but also very anxious about her decision. She recalled questioning herself, wondering if she was giving up a perfect job. People around her couldn’t believe she was considering leaving, telling her how lucky she was and that others would love to have her position.
Kylie, 28, reassured her, saying, “Vic, I really want you to succeed, and I’ll always be here for you. I love you tons!”
Before working for Kylie, Victoria gained experience as an intern at Teen Vogue. She then worked as an office manager at Kris Jenner’s company, Jenner Communications, which eventually led to her position assisting Kylie.

Victoria originally assisted both Kylie and Kendall Jenner, but she explained in a podcast interview that managing both of their schedules and needs simultaneously proved too challenging.
Kylie was just starting Kylie Cosmetics, so it was a natural fit for Victoria to keep working with her, taking on more creative responsibilities in addition to her usual assistant tasks.
She definitely didn’t want to leave Kendall hanging, playfully saying she “gave Kendall” her sister, Sofia Villarroel.
I told Kendall, ‘Please don’t be mad! I’m offering you my sister as a peace offering – we’re family, we share DNA.’ I joked that she’d probably like my sister even more because they have so much in common.
