In my role as a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share an intriguing incident. With Labubus flying off the shelves, both physically and online, a fascinating tale emerged from a store in Los Angeles. It seems that a cunning group of individuals made away with a collection of these toothy creatures from their establishment, much to the dismay of the store owners.
On August 6th, One Stop Sales shared on Instagram that they had been victimized by a burglary. The thieves made off with all their stock and left the store in disarray. The team is still reeling from the shock of the incident.
At 1:37 a.m., the La Puente store released security camera footage showing four masked individuals. They were caught on camera breaking into the premises after a noise suggestive of broken glass. Once inside, they proceeded to search through the inventory before making off with multiple boxes and exiting hurriedly.
During the burglary on August 6th, I can confirm that several valuable Labubu dolls, approximating $7,000 in value, were unfortunately taken from my care by an uninvited guest.
Joanna Avendano, one of the store owners, informed KABC that not only their blind boxes but also additional merchandise worth over $30,000 were taken during the theft.
She expressed to the media outlet that we had put in a tremendous amount of effort to reach this stage. To have them, seemingly without consequence, sweep everything away feels incredibly disappointing.
As a dedicated fanatic, I can’t help but feel a pang every time I think about the devastating event that struck One Stop Sales. Yet, luckily for us fans, some of their beloved products have miraculously surfaced, thanks to the diligent efforts of local officials.
The shop expressed gratitude on Instagram on August 8, acknowledging the Industry Sheriff’s Department for assisting them in recovering some of their items. They praised the department’s service and thanked them profusely. Additionally, they acknowledged the support from their community who have also been helping them during this time. The shop expressed appreciation to everyone involved.
The store mentioned that, as the investigation continues, they plan to provide further information if any additional items are discovered.
