Labubu Burglars Steal Entire Inventory of L.A. Store, Owners Say

The latest viral toy has led to an unfortunate La-break-in.

In my role as a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share an intriguing incident. With Labubus flying off the shelves, both physically and online, a fascinating tale emerged from a store in Los Angeles. It seems that a cunning group of individuals made away with a collection of these toothy creatures from their establishment, much to the dismay of the store owners.

On August 6th, One Stop Sales shared on Instagram that they had been victimized by a burglary. The thieves made off with all their stock and left the store in disarray. The team is still reeling from the shock of the incident.

At 1:37 a.m., the La Puente store released security camera footage showing four masked individuals. They were caught on camera breaking into the premises after a noise suggestive of broken glass. Once inside, they proceeded to search through the inventory before making off with multiple boxes and exiting hurriedly.

During the burglary on August 6th, I can confirm that several valuable Labubu dolls, approximating $7,000 in value, were unfortunately taken from my care by an uninvited guest.

Joanna Avendano, one of the store owners, informed KABC that not only their blind boxes but also additional merchandise worth over $30,000 were taken during the theft.

She expressed to the media outlet that we had put in a tremendous amount of effort to reach this stage. To have them, seemingly without consequence, sweep everything away feels incredibly disappointing.

As a dedicated fanatic, I can’t help but feel a pang every time I think about the devastating event that struck One Stop Sales. Yet, luckily for us fans, some of their beloved products have miraculously surfaced, thanks to the diligent efforts of local officials.

The shop expressed gratitude on Instagram on August 8, acknowledging the Industry Sheriff’s Department for assisting them in recovering some of their items. They praised the department’s service and thanked them profusely. Additionally, they acknowledged the support from their community who have also been helping them during this time. The shop expressed appreciation to everyone involved.

The store mentioned that, as the investigation continues, they plan to provide further information if any additional items are discovered.

It’s reported by NBC News that a few suspects broke through windows to burglarize a couple’s house on Valentine’s Day 2025, then left the area without the actress, singer, and their daughters, Sunday and Faith, present as they were not at home at the time.

This incident occurred when the family’s nanny claimed that two unknown individuals entered their home through a patio door around midnight. Back in March 2019, I found myself in a predicament, one that I regret to this day. You see, I became so consumed by my admiration for a certain singer, that I crossed lines I never should have. I scaled the second floor balcony of his NYC apartment and, foolishly, used a brick to shatter a window, gaining unlawful entry.

In 2016, when burglars broke into her home in northern London, the singer responded by protecting herself. A recording of her call to the police captures her saying, “Stay off these stairs,” implying a threat. She warned, “I’ll give you a hard time if you hear me!” Unfortunately, the intruders managed to steal approximately $295,000 worth of jewelry, clothing, iPhones, and Mac computers despite her warning.

In 2017, when the “Super Bass” rapper was away from town, a robbery occurred at her residence in Beverly Hills. Approximately $175,000 worth of jewelry and other belongings were taken during this incident.

In 2017, the “Obsessed” singer experienced a burglary at her Los Angeles residence, with thieves making off with around $50,000 worth of handbags and sunglasses. As reported by the LAPD, the intruder gained entry through a window.
