The cast of Laguna Beachis ready to come clean.
During the reunion special, Laguna Beach stars Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, and Kristin Cavallari revisited their complicated love triangle, while other cast members revealed surprising past romances that had happened among students at Laguna High School.
Alex Hooser, who didn’t have her romantic relationships heavily featured on the MTV show, revealed she kissed Trey Phillips and may have been involved with Dieter Schmitz as well.
She joked during the special, which released April 10, “Dieter and I have … ‘dietered.’”
While Dieter gave a bashful laugh, his ex Jessica Smith’s jaw dropped.
Jessica also confessed to a brief romantic encounter with Stephen, but downplayed it, saying it wasn’t really a relationship.
Stephen agreed, calling their dalliance a “flash in the pan.”
Christina Sinclair, formerly known as Christina Schuller, and Talan Torriero surprised their former classmates by revealing they had dated each other before appearing on the show, including a brief period when Talan dated KCav.
You know, I was chatting with Christina and Talan recently, and it came out that Christina was actually Talan’s very first girlfriend back in high school! Talan joked that it’s a little-known fact – a sweet memory they hadn’t really shared before. It’s those little details that make a relationship history so special, don’t you think?
Christina seemed surprised and playfully said, “I thought you’d forgotten!”
Kristin shared that she and Lauren actually had a surprising connection – they both dated the same guy before, in addition to Stephen and Talan. Lauren revealed that she briefly dated Doug Reinhardt, who later became known from The Hills and Very Cavallari, back when she was a freshman in high school.
“Can’t you let me have one thing?!” Lauren laughed, with Kristin adding, “We’ve got great taste.”

Despite past drama involving their former partners during their teenage years and early twenties, any remaining tension between her and Lauren Conrad (LC) seemed to be resolved at the premiere of their reunion show on March 25th. They shared how it felt to reconnect after all this time.
And Lauren credits Stephen with them being able to firmly mend any fences.
Lauren told TopMob News’ Erin Lim Rhodes at the premiere that having open and honest conversations is wonderful. She emphasized the importance of women finding common ground and supporting one another, explaining that the recent reunion allowed them to discuss past mistakes and how they’ve both grown and changed since then.
Now that you’re up-to-date on what happened behind the scenes back in 2004, let’s find out what the graduates of Laguna High are doing today.

Remember when Lisa Love on Teen Vogue famously told Lauren Conrad she’d forever be known as the girl who skipped Paris? (That line actually originated with Vogue‘s Anna Wintour, as discovered in a 2019 look back at The Hills.)
More than ten years after that controversial choice and her breakup with Jason Wahler, Lauren Conrad has achieved a lot. She’s a New York Times bestselling author, co-founded The Little Market to support female artisans globally, and built a successful fashion and lifestyle brand, starting with her Kohl’s line.
She’s come a long way from the drama at Les Deux! Lauren married musician and lawyer William Tell in a dreamy Pinterest-worthy wedding in 2014. They now have two sons: Liam James Tell and, born in October 2019, Charlie Wolf Tell.

Kristin Cavallari has successfully transitioned from reality TV star to businesswoman. Her lifestyle brand, Uncommon James, is expanding with a fourth store opening in Charleston in 2024, and she also has a shoe line with Chinese Laundry and three cookbooks. She and former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler were together for ten years and share three children – sons Camden Jack and Jaxon Wyatt, and daughter Saylor James – before divorcing in April 2020.
After ending a relationship with Mark Estes in September 2024, Cavallari is dating again. She told TopMob News in 2023 that while she’s been on many dates recently, she doesn’t have time for dishonesty or games, and isn’t necessarily ‘picky,’ just selective with her time.

Jason Wahler, known for his rebellious behavior on reality shows like Laguna Beach and The Hills, faced numerous problems after his time on television, including drug use, DUIs, and arrests. He finally got sober after appearing on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew Pinsky.
He later married Ashley Slack, and credits her with helping him maintain his sobriety. Together, they have three children: Delilah Ray (born August 2017), Wyatt Ragle (born June 2021), and August Robert (born May 2025). Jason, who founded Widespread Recovery, continues to share his experiences with addiction through his YouTube series, JAWS Diaries with Jason & Ashley Wahler, and on The Hills: New Beginnings.
Now living in Nashville, Jason has reconnected with Kristen, a friend he grew apart from. He shared with TopMob News in 2023 that she has been a supportive presence since he and Ashley moved to Tennessee, despite both having been focused on their own lives and families for a time.

After fueling fan fiction about a love triangle with Kristin and Stephen, actor Laguna is now concentrating on his acting career. He appeared on The CW’s One Tree Hill for five seasons and played Taylor Swift’s love interest in her “White Horse” music video. He also briefly worked as a VJ on the original Total Request Live. More recently, he starred in the 2018 TV movie Hometown Christmas and Hulu’s Everyone Is Doing Great alongside his former One Tree Hill co-star James Lafferty.
As for his relationship with podcast co-host Kristin, it’s over. Stephen proposed to NASCAR reporter Alex Weaver in November 2023. He told TopMob News in 2024 that they are enjoying being engaged while also planning the details of their wedding.
The couple chose a simple and elegant way to share their happy news. They first announced their marriage on Instagram on October 3, 2025, with a post saying “Mr. & Mrs.” Then, on January 20, 2026, they shared the news of their upcoming parenthood with an Instagram post reading, “Mom & Dad.”

For years, Lauren Conrad made it clear she didn’t want to revisit her time on The Hills. She recalled telling producers, when asked about returning, that she absolutely wouldn’t. She wanted to distance herself from everyone involved.
Lauren has since moved on to a different career, building a successful business. After graduating from The International Culinary Center and publishing The Lo-Down, she founded Love Wellness, a line of personal care products for women, in 2016. She’s now based in New York City.
While she’s not in constant contact with her former castmates – and admits it’s been 20 years – she remains friendly with them. She told TopMob News in 2024 that she would happily greet them with a hug if she saw them.
Lauren has also found personal happiness. She married businessman Domenic “Dom” Natale in a small Laguna Beach wedding in July 2025, and they welcomed their daughter, Nelle, in January.
She told TopMob that she’s created the life she always wanted and is focused on maintaining her happiness, health, family, and close relationships.

Before settling down, Talan Torriero had brief romances with K.Cav, Kimberly Stewart, and Nicole Scherzinger, keeping his love life in the public eye. He met his future wife, Danielle Torriero, at a Los Angeles bar on her 21st birthday in 2009, and the two eventually moved from California to her home state of Nebraska. They married in June 2014 and have since built a life together, creating what they call their “dream home” on a nearly one-acre property. They are now parents to three children: Bronson, born in October 2017, Hudson, born in December 2020, and Anderson Tito, born in June 2023. Talan recalls being immediately struck by Danielle when they first met, admitting he didn’t even know where Nebraska was at the time, but now happily calls it home after 14 years.

That first runway show was just the beginning for Trey. After leaving Laguna, he moved to New York City to attend Parsons School of Design, graduating in 2010 with a degree in both fashion design and renewable energy. He stayed in New York, working as an associate designer for Vera Wang and also spent time in London.
In 2023, he founded Motion Illustrated, stating on his website that after over a decade of designing for major fashion brands, he wanted to share his own style. He generally keeps a low profile on social media, though he occasionally shares photos of his partner, Kasumi.

Lauren and Stephen’s close friend pursued his dream of a career in hospitality and now manages the Sofitel New York hotel.
He remains close to his high school friends, including Lauren, Stephen (who was a groomsman), and Loren Polster. They all attended his wedding to Isabell Hiebl in Monterey, California, in 2016. The couple, who consider Austria a second home, welcomed their son, Nico Josef Schmitz, in September 2018, and their daughter, Leni, in March 2023.

Since leaving the MTV show Laguna Beach, KCav’s friend has mostly avoided being on reality TV. After a short period of attention following a 2007 DUI arrest, she built a quiet life in Texas with her husband, Michael Evans—whom she describes on Instagram as incredibly kind, patient, and loving—and their four children. She does have a blog and an online shop, but she mostly jokes online about the everyday challenges of raising a family and simply trying to keep track of her kids.

Remember Alex and Jessica competing for Jason’s affection? That was a long time ago! Alex married Kyle Johnson in 2014, with Morgan Olson, Alex H., and Taylor Cole as bridesmaids. They now have three sons: Levi, born in 2016, Kase in 2018, and Rome in April 2021. Alex used her communications degree from Chapman University to co-found MOX Agency, a social media marketing company, in 2014.

When Morgan joined MTV in 2004, she wasn’t aiming for fame. She simply wanted to document her high school years with friends, as she explained to Time magazine. She also remained committed to her personal goal of finding a Mormon husband and starting a family.
After graduating from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a degree in humanities and journalism, she married Joel Smith two years later. She shared that she pursued the life she always wanted—finishing college, traveling, getting married, and building a career, first in New York and now in Los Angeles—regardless of her TV show fame. Now living in South Carolina, where she recently opened a showroom in Charleston, she’s a mother to Theo, Georgia, and Julian, and runs her Minnow Swim brand.

Casey didn’t start on the original cast of Laguna Beach, but she definitely made an impact when she joined the show. Since then, she’s become a successful baker, opening Casey’s Cupcakes in Orange County and even winning Cupcake Wars on Food Network in 2011.
Her personal life is equally fulfilling. She married Sean Brown (who is related to the late Nicole Brown Simpson) in August 2015, and they have three children: daughter Kensington, and sons Sean Brown Jr. and Conrad.

Just under three years after attending Taylor’s wedding in October 2015, where she stood up for real estate investor Kevin Simshauser, Taylor and a friend both became pregnant about eight weeks apart. She welcomed her daughter, Tatum, in September 2018, and then her sons, Cole in January 2020, and Olson in August 2022. As the founder of Taylor Cole Holistic Nutrition, she also shares glimpses into her life on Instagram.
