The popular show “Last One Laughing UK” on Prime Video is coming back for a second season in 2026, and here’s who will be participating: the complete list of comedians.
In this series, hosted by Jimmy Carr and inspired by a Japanese show called Documental, ten comedians find themselves in a house. Their mission: to induce laughter in their fellow competitors, yet they are forbidden from laughing themselves.
The person who manages to maintain a straight face for the longest period (they only have one chance, if they laugh, they’re out) will be declared the victor at the conclusion of the event or game.
This time, the following comedians are taking part in the competition: David Mitchell, Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Amy Gledhill, Maisie Adam, Mel Giedroyc, Alan Carr, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Sam Campbell, and last season’s winner, Bob Mortimer, who is back to try defending his title.
In the debut season of the show in the UK, a group consisting of Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, Judi Love, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, Lou Sanders, Joe Wilkinson, Harriet Kemsley, and Richard Ayoade competed. Among them, it was Richard Ayoade who came second to the season’s winner.
Additionally, Roisin Conaty will join Carr for a bird’s-eye view of events, safely ensconced within the confines of the control room.
He mentioned, “I assumed it wouldn’t be hard for me to suppress laughter,” he said. However, most of my days are spent without laughter, yet I found it incredibly challenging! The peculiar ambiance made it tough on me, especially at first.
Regarding his efforts to avoid laughing, the comedian from Gone Fishing put it this way: “I simply turned and walked off. With some competitors, I found myself unable to meet their gazes, so I just steered clear of them instead.
He went on to express his strong affection for comedy as a genre, finding it peculiar when people don’t laugh. He found it odd that one could be present during comedic moments and not join in on the laughter, especially toward friends, as this seemed to go against the very nature of camaraderie.
In more than 20 countries, Prime Video has produced variations of the popular format, with well-known personalities like Graham Norton (from Ireland), Jay Baruchel (Canada), Eugenio Derbez (Mexico), Fedez (Italy), Michael ‘Bully’ Herbig (Germany), Rebel Wilson (Australia), and Trevor Noah (South Africa) serving as hosts in their respective countries.
