The fourth season of Invincible is coming soon, and fans of the original comic books are predicting it will be incredibly intense. This is especially notable because the very first episode of Invincible shocked viewers with a massive battle that resulted in the deaths of almost all the established superheroes.
Wow, after that crazy beginning, we’ve all discovered just how intense and brutal Mark Grayson’s (Steven Yeun) life as a superhero is going to get! And after so many tough fights against his own people, the Viltrumites – those super strong alien conquerors – Mark is finally facing one of their most powerful and terrifying leaders, Grand Regent Thragg (Lee Pace). I’m honestly a little scared to see what happens next!
Invincible Teases the Power of Thragg (Watch the Teaser)
The new teaser for Invincible Season 4 shows that Thragg embodies everything we’ve seen in other Viltrumite warriors, like Mark’s father, Nolan (Omni-Man). Even in just 30 seconds, it’s clear he’s a staunch believer in Viltrumite ideals: strength, conquest, and having no compassion for those they see as weaker. For those who haven’t read the comics, it looks like Thragg is displeased with recent failures within the Viltrumite ranks – warriors being defeated or abandoning the Empire.
Based on the trailer, Thragg seems determined to take control and make significant changes, which doesn’t bode well for Mark or Earth. The trailer’s narration also suggests Nolan might become a target of Thragg’s anger.
The latest trailer for Invincible Season 4 reveals that Mark Grayson (Invincible) will be facing many threats, not just Thragg. We see Mark consistently in costume, battling both returning villains like Battle Beast and new foes inspired by classic comic books. However, the trailer emphasizes that the Viltrumite Empire remains the biggest danger, suggesting a full-scale war between Earth and Viltrum is possible. This new teaser confirms Thragg won’t be a distant ruler; he’ll be actively fighting and even punishing anyone who disobeys him. The intense battle scenes hint that Mark, Nolan, Alan the Alien, Battle Beast, and all their allies may be outmatched by Thragg’s power.
Get ready for more action! Season 4 of Invincible arrives on Amazon Prime Video on March 18th. Join the discussion with other fans on the ComicBook Forum!
