On July 18th, the @Digimon_Games account posted a short video clip of the game on social media platform X (previously known as Twitter). The clip lasts approximately 8 seconds and offers a peek into another inhabited region of The Digital World: Illiad. This is our initial view of the Factorial Area, an industrial district. In this industrial sector, reminiscent of Illiad’s other parts we’ve visited, Digimons bustle about their daily activities. This fact, added to the realization that Digimon Story: Time Stranger promises a rich and populated world for fans to delve into, is thrilling. Additionally, some spectators claim they might have spotted an undisclosed Digimon lurking in the Factorial Area as well.
Many spectators appear to have identified LoaderLeomon in the video, implying that his evolution could soon appear within the game. While numerous Digimon from the game have been hinted at via @DigimonGames, there are still many more waiting to be discovered. Now, it seems fans have found one more potential addition. As a machine Digimon, LoaderLeomon’s presence in this region of Illiad wouldn’t be surprising.
Known Areas in Digimon Story: Time Stranger So Far
Discovering this new region has given us insight into various areas that will be featured in Digimon Story: Time Stranger. The initial gameplay primarily showcases Shinjuku, which is part of the human world. Besides Shinjuku, players can also expect to delve into Akihabara within the Human World. However, at present, these are the only real-world locations we’re aware of.
Video game enthusiasts will also venture into the self-contained universe of The Digital World: Illiad, which boasts distinct regions all its own. So far, we’ve been introduced to the bustling Central Town region of Illiad, a hub where numerous Digimon reside and engage in their daily activities. More recent glimpses have showcased the underwater Abyss Area and the verdant Gear Forest. With the latest reveal of the Factorial Area, we now know of at least four separate territories within Illiad. It’s evident that Digimon Story: Time Stranger will offer a vast world to delve into, brimming with Digimon and enigmas waiting to be unraveled.

The game titled “Digimon Story: Time Stranger” is set to launch on October 3rd for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. While fans are eagerly waiting for a potential Switch 2 edition, no official announcements have been made so far. Pre-orders are available across various platforms, offering several versions to select from. As we approach the release date, we might get glimpses of more game areas in the coming months. However, it appears that the world of “Time Stranger” promises a rich and diverse gaming experience already.
