Katy Perry is the wedding guest that got away.

Even as Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos are about to get married at a glamorous event in Venice, the singer is currently on tour Down Under for her Lifetimes concert. However, in the absence of Katy Perry, Lauren conveyed that Jeff was with them in spirit, being a part of her Blue Origin flight crew.

In a June 27 post, Katy shared glimpses of her Australian adventure, complete with selfies alongside an adorable, camera-friendly Quokka. In response, Lauren expressed affection by saying, “We’re eagerly waiting for your return, Katy,” in the comments section.

Although Katy couldn’t attend the wedding events, she still participated in celebrating Lauren during her bachelorette party in Paris in May. The “Dark Horse” singer was part of a group that included Eva Longoria, Kris Jenner, and Kim Kardashian for their getaway to Paris, which Lauren shared on Instagram.

Simultaneously, Orlando Bloom, previously engaged to Katy, was present at the wedding. He arrived in Venice alone following reports that he and the singer of “Last Friday Night” had called off their nine-year relationship.

Lauren and Jeff’s wedding, featuring some members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan along with Tom Brady and Oprah Winfrey, has spanned over multiple days.

 

To begin the celebrations, the journalist and Amazon CEO welcomed their well-known companions to a rain-soaked dinner within the Madonna dell’Orto cloisters as their opening event. Yet, despite the inclement weather, Lauren accentuated her midriff in a floral ensemble by Schiaparelli, boasting intricate floral motifs and a figure-hugging textured corset.

61-year-old Jeff and 55-year-old Lauren haven’t shared many details about their wedding yet, but it is known that they will exchange their official “I dos” in the presence of around 200 guests, who have been invited to their upcoming ceremony, which has already drawn attention due to the celebrities who have attended events in Venice thus far.
