Get ready to explore a new frontier with the LEGO Icons Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D (10356)! This was the first-ever LEGO Star Trek set and quickly sold out when it launched during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales, along with the free LEGO Icons Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod (40768). It’s now back in stock at the LEGO Shop as a backorder item for $399.99, with an expected release date of December 27th – though that’s a little late for Christmas gifting.

LEGO Icons Star Trek U.S.S.  Enterprise NCC-1701-D Details

The LEGO Star Trek U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D is a highly detailed, 3,600-piece building set modeled after the iconic starship from The Next Generation. It features a detachable command saucer, a separate secondary hull, warp nacelles, and an opening shuttlebay complete with two mini shuttlepods. The set also includes a display stand, an information plaque, and a tile for showcasing Star Trek: The Next Generation minifigures.








The main set includes 9 minifigures: Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Worf, Lieutenant Commander Data, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Counsellor Deanna Troi, Bartender Guinan, and Wesley Crusher. If you also get the Shuttlepod as a gift with purchase, you’ll receive an additional Ensign Ro Laren minifigure, bringing the total to 10.

Every minifigure includes special accessories related to its theme, like a teacup, trombone with a stand, a phaser, a tricorder, an engineering case, a handheld device (PADD), a bottle, a portable tractor beam generator, and even a little cat named Spot.

As a sci-fi fan and movie set enthusiast, I have to say the LEGO Icons Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod (Onizuka) is a neat little build. Clearly inspired by Star Trek: The Next Generation, it’s packed with details. You can open the wing doors and rear hatch, and I especially loved the little touches like the LCARS display showing Stardate 45076.3 and a Romulan ship schematic. It even includes a sticker sheet to really bring the exterior and that cool LCARS system to life. Plus, you get the Ensign Ro Laren minifigure, which is a fantastic bonus!
