Pamela Anderson is experiencing a major career comeback. After largely stepping away from the spotlight following her fame as a ’90s icon on Baywatch and Home Improvement, she’s entered a new phase in her career. In 2024, she received Golden Globe and SAG Award nominations for her leading role in The Last Showgirl, and in 2025 she starred in the well-received The Naked Gun, showcasing her comedic talent. Following the release of that film, rumors circulated about a relationship between Anderson and her co-star, Liam Neeson, and she’s now sharing the truth about those reports.
What Did Pamela Anderson Say About Her Rumored Romance With Liam Neeson?
2023 marked a turning point for Pamela Anderson, as she openly shared her story with the Netflix documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, and her memoir, Love, Pamela. So, it was a pleasant surprise – especially given how private she’d been about her personal life – to hear rumors during promotion for the new Naked Gun movie that she was dating her co-star, Liam Neeson, of V.I.P. fame.
Anderson recently discussed the rumors with People magazine, clarifying that while she hadn’t previously confirmed them, the idea of it being a publicity stunt wasn’t true.
Liam and I dated briefly after we finished filming, and it was actually really fun – almost like something out of a Nancy Meyers movie. I always found it amusing when people assumed it was just for publicity. It wasn’t – we genuinely had feelings for each other. I truly care about Liam, but we’re better suited as friends, to be honest.
So, it seems all the public displays of affection – like dancing to “I’m Too Sexy” and playfully pretending to kiss on the Today show – weren’t just for publicity. It looks like they genuinely had feelings for each other.
I was so fascinated to hear her talk about her time with him! She described a really cozy week they spent together at his home upstate, and it sounded incredibly personal. She had her own room, and it wasn’t just the two of them – their assistants and even family stopped by. It all makes so much sense when you remember how Liam recently raved about her sourdough bread! She could have been baking it elsewhere, maybe even at her rental during filming, but I just picture her in his kitchen, creating something special while staying with him. It feels like a really sweet detail that hints at how close they were.
Following a brief but charming time together – which included a dinner at a French restaurant and helping each other with gardening – the Barb Wire actress shared that she and her co-star decided to focus on their individual film projects. However, fans hoping for a continued connection can likely expect them to remain friends for a long time, according to Anderson.
He’s been a wonderful support as I pursue this new career path, and he’s sweetly told me how proud he is of me. I know we’ll always stay close.
Mature and respectful love, y’all…That’s where it’s at!
