LEGO fans are impressed with the design of the Enterprise model, especially how it stands out from most Star Wars LEGO sets despite being created by similar designers. It’s a satisfying build thanks to clever building techniques, and the vibrant blue pieces create eye-catching warp nacelles. A unique feature is the removable command deck, which appeared in multiple episodes of Star Trek and the film Generations.
Impressively, the Enterprise-D comes with nine minifigures, all with accessories:
- Captain Jean-Luc Picard with a cup of Earl Grey tea, hot
- Commander William Riker with a trombone (another first for LEGO)
- Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge with a Starfleet engineering case
- Lieutenant Commander Data with Spot
- Lieutenant Worf with a phaser
- Dr. Beverly Crusher with a medical tricorder
- Counsellor Deanna Troi with a PADD
- Guinan the baretender with a green bottle of Aldebaran whiskey
- Wesley Crusher with a portable tractor beam generator (as seen in the episode “The Naked Bow”)
It’s also available now with a special Star Trek shuttlepod, including a minifigure of Ensign Ro Laren. This model is based on the Onizuka shuttlepod from Star Trek: The Next Generation and has opening wing doors. The LEGO fan site BrickFanatics has called it the best LEGO gift with any purchase this year. It’s only available from November 28th to December 1st.

LEGO hasn’t announced plans for future Star Trek sets beyond the USS Enterprise-D, and it seems they’re waiting to see how well this set performs. However, given the high demand expected, collectors could be among the first to acquire sets from a potentially extensive new Star Trek collection.
