Following the success of Lies of P, publisher Neowiz is expanding its development efforts. The company currently has five games in development internally and is also partnering with two external studios to publish their projects, bringing the total to seven games in the works.
So, I was checking out an investor presentation from the company, and they pretty much confirmed it – they’re making a sequel to Lies of P! If you finished the first game, you probably already have some guesses about where they’re going with the story.
So, they’re not just stopping there! They’ve also got a life sim in development, plus a survival action-adventure game that sounds awesome. And to top it off, Seungho Jin and Kay Lee are working on two completely new projects, which I’m super excited to hear more about!
Seungho Jin previously worked on the PS4 game Buried Stars, and Kay Lee contributed to the development of Vindictus, a popular South Korean massively multiplayer online game.
In addition to its own projects, Neowiz is collaborating with two other game studios to publish their games. They’re helping Wolfeye Studios, the creators of Weird West, launch a new “retro sci-fi first-person RPG.” Neowiz is also working with Polish studio Zakazane Studio on their debut game.
Following comments from former PlayStation head Shu Yoshida about Stellar Blade’s success and its positive effect on the Korean gaming scene, Lies of P also deserves recognition for boosting interest in the industry. The game’s popularity has enabled Neowiz to grow and currently develop five new projects.
