Live-Action Toph Shows Off in New Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender Trailer

Netflix is continuing the popular series Avatar: The Last Airbender with Season 2, following the success of its live-action debut two years ago. A new trailer has been released, giving fans a first look at Toph’s live-action appearance. Season 2 will continue adapting the original animated series, focusing on the Earth Kingdom as the Fire Nation expands its control.

In Season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Aang will focus more on his responsibilities as the Avatar while learning Earthbending. This season introduces Toph (played by Miya Cech) as his Earthbending teacher, and a new trailer gives fans a great first look at how this beloved character has been brought to life. The trailer includes new footage and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the upcoming season. You can watch it below.

What’s Next for Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix?

Filming for Season 3 of Avatar: The Last Airbender is finished, and the show is now being edited and prepared for release. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, the new season is expected to follow the storyline of the final season of the original animated series. However, it’s possible the adaptation won’t include everything fans are hoping for.

I was talking to Christine Boylan, one of the executive producers, and she explained that they weren’t able to include everything from the animated series in the Netflix show. She said a lot of the adventures happened in the gaps – between seasons, and even between episodes – so it just wasn’t possible to fit it all in.
