Loki Star Ke Huy Quan Breaks Silence on Avengers: Doomsday Return Possibilities

Ke Huy Quan, the star of Loki, recently discussed the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a future Avengers film. Quan made a celebrated return to acting after a long break, and his performance as Ouroboros (O.B.) in Loki Season 2 – following his Academy Award win for Everything Everywhere All At Once – was a hit with fans. However, it remains unclear if he will continue his role in the MCU beyond that.

While on the red carpet at the premiere of Zootopia 2, Quen spoke with Russ Millheim from TopMob about the possibility of returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, particularly in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. When asked directly if his character, O.B., would appear in the film, the Academy Award-winning actor jokingly replied, “I would tell you yes if I knew.”

He said he wasn’t sure if he’d be included in the 2026 Marvel team-up movie, but he’s hoping they explore the Ouroboros character further in upcoming projects.

He’s basically saying he wishes he knew if he’d be in any future Marvel projects, and he’s being totally honest – he doesn’t have a clue right now. He’s thrilled to see Loki back, though, and really hopes we get more of Ouroboros in the future. As for a potential appearance in ‘Doomsday,’ he said it hasn’t happened… yet! He’s playing it cool, and I respect that.

Tom Hiddleston, who starred with Quan in Loki, is confirmed to be in Avengers: Doomsday. However, there’s been no announcement regarding whether Owen Wilson will also appear. Reports suggest the new Avengers movie will connect directly to the Loki Disney+ series, possibly featuring important settings like the TVA and the Void.

The next Avengers movie, titled Avengers: Doomsday, will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, who also directed Avengers: Endgame, the film will center on the Avengers battling Doctor Doom to save their world.

The next big Marvel movie will star Tom Hiddleston, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, and Chris Hemsworth. Plus, some actors who previously played X-Men characters in the old Fox movies are returning to reprise those roles.

How Likely Is The Loki Cast’s Appearance in Avengers: Doomsday?

Even though Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in Avengers: Doomsday, it doesn’t guarantee that other actors from his Disney+ series will also appear in the movie.

If the second season of Loki had just shown Loki returning to the TVA to handle timeline management in a desk job, it would have seemed more probable that characters like O.B. (Ke Huy Quan) and Mobius (Owen Wilson) would appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

But things didn’t turn out that way. Loki evolved into something bigger – the God of Stories – and stepped away from the TVA. He now oversees all of time and space from a place outside of reality.

Rumors suggest Loki’s part in the next Avengers movie might include characters from the Time Variance Authority (TVA). Earlier this year, actress Sophia Di Martino, who played Sylvie in Loki, hinted on social media that she could return for the Doomsday project, sparking fan speculation.

If Sylvie is back, it would not be out of the question that someone like O.B. would be as well.
