Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have been diligently refining their innovative multiplayer roguelike version of Elden Ring, the eagerly awaited Elden Ring Nightreign. Unfortunately, they’ve had to delay a highly anticipated update because of extreme weather advisories after an earthquake.
Towards the end of the previous week, developers unveiled an anticipated update for Nightreign enthusiasts – one incorporating a two-player mode, or duos, into the game. Scheduled to launch today, Patch 1.02 was intended to introduce duos and some user interface enhancements such as more filtering options for Relics. However, as FromSoftware announced in a recent online post, this patch will no longer be released on July 30th.
Due to a tsunami warning caused by an earthquake near the Kamchatka Peninsula, the developers have chosen to delay the release of the Elden Ring Nightreign Patch 1.02, which was initially planned for today, until tomorrow, July 31 (Thursday) at 10:00 CEST | 1:00 PDT. They also mentioned that the new Everdark cycle, which includes enhanced editions of additional Nightlords, is going to be released later than expected.
FromSoftware has announced that the second cycle of Everdark Sovereign, initially set to begin at 03:00 CEST | 18:00 PDT on July 31, will now start after they have distributed the update file. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
As a dedicated gamer, I’ve just received some exciting updates straight from the developers about Patch 1.02 and the upcoming second game cycle. This news comes after a massive 8.8-magnitude earthquake off Russia’s coast and subsequent tsunami warnings in Japan, events that have clearly not deterred our dedicated dev team!
Despite the situation being far from comforting, supporters are expressing their good wishes in the responses, with one commenting “Stay safe, all” and another approving the postponement as a “wise move,” offering “wishes for everyone’s safety.
