The Nazgul for those who can afford it.
The Nazgûl are nine terrifying servants of Sauron. Originally mortal men, they were twisted into undead creatures by the rings he created. Though they exist largely as shadows, they can appear in the physical world, concealing their forms with dark clothing and depending on their riding beasts to navigate beyond the lands of Mordor.
The Witch-King of Angmar Has Been Stunningly Recreated In New Mask
In Peter Jackson’s film, The Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo is attacked by nine terrifying figures called the Nazgûl on Weathertop. These are ghostly, undead men who once ruled kingdoms, and they’re identifiable by the crowns they still wear. Their leader, the Witch-King of Angmar, wounds Frodo with a cursed blade. This blade carries a poison that will slowly turn Frodo into one of the undead himself.
Fans of The Witch-King of Angmar can now pre-order a highly detailed mask of the character. The mask is crafted from silicone and includes his crown. It’s displayed mounted on a replica of the Morgul blade he famously used against Frodo.
You can pre-order the official mask now, but it won’t be delivered until the second quarter of 2027. Luckily, there are lots of other Lord of the Rings items coming out this year that are much more affordable. These upcoming releases are a great option for Lord of the Rings fans who are looking for something budget-friendly.
The Witch-King of Angmar Mask’s Price Might Require a Raid On Smaug’s Lair
The mask will cost $299 USD, and payment plans are available to help spread out the cost. It’s expected to ship in the second quarter of 2027, so fans will have a bit of a wait before receiving it.
Although the mask is expensive, customers who order it early will receive a special bonus. Those who pre-order the collectible before its release in Spring 2027 will get a miniature replica of the Morgul blade, inspired by the moment Frodo saw it after wearing the One Ring.
Okay, so this Witch-King of Angmar mask is seriously expensive, but honestly, the detail is incredible. The eyes are glass and the hair actually moves in the air! It’s a bummer though, because it’s meant for display only – you can’t actually wear it. Guess that means us Nazgûl fans are back to rocking the classic black cloak look, just like we always have!
