With the current month ending, leaks about next month’s free PlayStation Plus games have started to appear. According to Dealabs’ reliable source billbil-kun, Lords of the Fallen is expected to be one of them.
This isn’t about the 2014 game, but its new sequel developed by Hexworks, expected to launch on April 7th (with an announcement planned for March 31st). The game centers around the Lamp Bearer, a character who can use a special lamp to travel between the world of Axiom and the land of the dead, called Umbral, as Axiom faces the threat of Adyr’s rule.
In Lords of the Fallen, you’ll journey across the world of Axiom to purify five beacons and stop the return of Adyr, fighting challenging monsters and corrupted guardians. As a Souls-like RPG, the game features diverse character classes, a wide variety of weapons, and difficult boss battles. Over time, the game has been updated and improved, including the addition of Veteran Mode, which offers even tougher enemies and bosses.
CI Games is already working on the next installment in the Lords of the Fallen series, with over 2.5 million copies of the original sold as of February 2026. Lords of the Fallen 2 will be released this year on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC (through Epic Games). The sequel is set hundreds of years after the first game and features enhanced combat, more character customization options, and the ability to dismember enemies. Keep an eye out for more information and an announcement about the original game coming to PlayStation Plus Essential.
