Love Is Blind’s Madison Reacts to Kacie Dating Ex Joe After Filming

A new web of romantic connections emerged during the Love Is Blind reunion.

Joe Ferrucci and Kacie McIntosh shared that they began dating each other after ending their previous engagements on season nine of the Netflix show.

Vanessa Lachey asked Kacie – who had previously been engaged to Patrick Suzuki but ended things before the cast’s trip to Mexico – if she dated anyone else from the show afterward. Kacie admitted she went on a few dates with Joe, who had also broken off his engagement to Madison Maidenberg before their wedding.

Joe explained that they dated for about a month to a month and a half before breaking up. Both of them also confessed that they weren’t each other’s primary connection while getting to know each other in the pods; they were each other’s third strongest connection.

“I think it just kind of fizzled out,” he shared. “It just ultimately didn’t work out.”

Kacie concurred, adding that perhaps it was just too soon for them to give it a shot.

She explained that neither of them were prepared for a relationship. They’d both just come out of situations where they’d publicly expressed love for someone else, and things moved too fast as a result.

Honestly, it really bothered me how Madison felt. She thought Joe and I were letting any old feelings we had for each other mess with her relationship with him. She basically accused us of prioritizing something from the past over what she and Joe had, and it felt unfair.

Madison believes their relationship was impacted by whatever was happening between Joe and Kacie. She recalls a night out after wedding attire fittings where, while wearing her engagement ring and expressing her excitement to Joe’s groomsmen, she saw Kacie resting her paws on Joe’s chest. Joe had even commented that Kacie was ‘giving him googly eyes.’ The very next night, they broke up.

She added, “So your actions and your actions affected my engagement.”

Kacie wasn’t sure if she had touched Joe’s chest that night, but Joe insisted it didn’t matter what Madison said.

“That’s not true at all,” he said. “If you think that’s why we split up, you’re mistaken. It had absolutely nothing to do with our breakup—that happened later. It wasn’t even a thought when we decided to end things.”

As shown on the show, Joe was struggling with their engagement before meeting Kacie, which was evident when he abruptly left his tuxedo fitting.

Madison was still upset with Kacie, claiming Kacie had confided in her about Joe at a cast party weeks after they finished filming the show.

During the reunion, Kacie told me we were like ‘eskimo sisters,’ which I thought was incredibly rude! Then, she kept complaining to me about how her ex treated her, even though she knew he was my former fiancé. It was completely insensitive.

Kacie, however, remembered their conversation going very differently.

I’m surprised to hear you say that now,” she said. “We had a really good conversation, and afterward, you told the group you were happy we had it.”

Kait Nemunaitis offered an outside opinion, explaining that Joe’s girlfriend, Avery, being at the pool party probably made the situation more intense.

She told me Joe is seeing someone new. It caused some tension because he had recently broken up with Kacie, and the timing felt awkward. He brought Avery with him, which I think upset Kacie.

Ultimately, Anton’s lifestyle and money problems weren’t a good fit for what Ali wanted.

She told the truck driver, right at the altar, that she couldn’t marry him. She explained that the man she’d connected with while they were dating in the pods was very different from the person she’d gotten to know in the real world.

So, she listened to her intuition.

Honestly, something just felt off, and it wasn’t at all how I imagined that moment would be. I really got the impression he wasn’t being completely open about what his life is really like, and that bothered me.

Anton wasn’t sure what went wrong – whether it was a matter of appearances, the overall feeling between them, or simply how they lived together. But he insists he always cared for her deeply.

Despite connecting over shared experiences with family members who have Type 1 diabetes, Megan and her fiancé had very different lifestyles – he favored simplicity, while she enjoyed luxury. This ultimately led Megan to end their engagement, as shown in the season nine finale.

“It feels like we’re just passing each other without really connecting,” the entrepreneur explained. But Jordan didn’t understand what he meant, responding, “I don’t get it.”

After Megan mentioned Jordan’s fussy eating and difficult travel commitments as a father, he responded by questioning why she had chosen him in the pods to begin with.

She admitted she’d hoped their differences would work out, but ultimately had doubts. “Looking back, I realize I never wanted to get married and risk hurting either of us,” she said, starting to cry, and he joined her.

Jordan admitted his biggest regret was letting his son, Luca, meet her. He explained in a private interview that he believes she doesn’t love him for who he is, and that realization is what he needs to move on.

Megan shared that the experience made her doubt her abilities as a mother, wondering if she was too focused on her own needs.

At their wedding, both Kalybriah and Edmond declared their strong love for each other, but Kalybriah ultimately rejected his proposal, offering an apology.

She told the realtor she needed someone who was fully committed, and admitted she wasn’t in that place right now. However, she quickly added that saying no didn’t mean she didn’t care for him.

Edmond was upset and started crying, but Kalybriah thanked him for handling the situation with dignity as she explained her difficult choice. When he asked if they might date in the future, Kalybriah reassured him that she wasn’t ruling it out completely.

“I am shocked,” he said in a confessional of her decision. “There was no bright side.”

Joe and his partner didn’t get married in season nine; he ended things after an emotional breakdown while trying on his tuxedo.

Madison later shared with Glamour that Joe had a distinct contrast between his on- and off-camera personality. When the cameras weren’t rolling, he was much more comforting and affectionate, even physically close to people. But when they were filming, he acted very differently, which is noticeable in scenes like the pool party.

Madison directly asked Joe if he was attracted to her, and he admitted it had been a problem while they were on vacation.

She explained that she asked him what kind of women he usually dated, and he said he preferred ‘more petite women.’ Despite generally being confident, she admitted this comment briefly made her feel insecure.

Okay, so everyone’s blowing this way out of proportion! I get Joe, honestly. He was just trying to explain why things haven’t worked out for him before, you know? He messed up how he said it, sure, but he wasn’t trying to be mean or judge anyone, he was just…analyzing his own history. It was a clumsy attempt to be self-aware, and people are totally twisting it! I just know he didn’t mean anything bad by it.

Nick broke up with Annie right before their wedding, telling her he felt upset that she constantly told him she loved him more than he loved her.

Honestly, it was heartbreaking to witness. Even after Nick ended things, his hairstylist just couldn’t accept it. She desperately tried to change his mind, practically begging him to stay with her and saying, ‘Just be with me, and love me!’ It was a really tough situation.

“You can’t make one plus one equal three,” he said, prompting her to say, “Watch me.”

Nick finally explained to Annie that he didn’t want to marry her because he was unhappy.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve seen relationships crumble for all sorts of reasons, and this one is a classic. It seemed things went downhill for Dave and his fiancée as soon as they arrived in Honduras. Initially, they thought having mutual friends might be a good thing, but that wasn’t the issue at all. The real problem was Dave discovering Lauren had been with someone they both knew before the show. He just couldn’t move past that, and honestly, I can understand why. Trust is everything, and that definitely put a strain on things.

Plus, Dave hadn’t wanted to introduce Lauren to his friends or family. He hadn’t even told his dad he was engaged, and his sister, who would later cause a lot of problems, didn’t approve of the relationship at all.

Many viewers thought Monica and Joey were a perfect match and expected them to get married. But when the time came, Monica decided she wasn’t ready to commit just yet.

Hearing her say it, with tears in her eyes, felt so raw and real. She explained that, right now, she’s completely invested, giving it everything she has, but she feels like both of them are still struggling to fully connect. And honestly, Joey totally agreed with everything she said – he felt the same way.

He hugged her and reassured her that everything was alright. He said they clearly cared deeply for each other, but he felt they both needed to focus on personal growth right now. He admitted he wasn’t ready for a relationship, and wasn’t sure if he would be anytime soon.

Despite having significant differences in beliefs and values – like religion and politics – Ben and Sara appeared to be in agreement as their wedding day approached. However, they ultimately decided to call off their relationship.

Sara, who previously told me she didn’t see a future with Ben, explained to him, “Ben, I care about you deeply, but I’ve always envisioned a partner who shares my outlook on life. Because of that, I can’t continue this relationship. I’m truly sorry if this isn’t what you wanted to hear.”

She explained that while she deeply cares for him, their core beliefs are too different for a relationship to work. She said her heart feels a connection, but ultimately, she needs to follow what her mind tells her.

Devin and Virginia appeared to be a strong couple, looking forward to their future together after completing the relationship pods. However, their harmony was disrupted when they started discussing a prenuptial agreement.

Ultimately, more significant problems led Virginia to end her relationship with Devin and decide against spending her life with him.

After leaving the altar, she explained, through tears, that she often felt the need to shield Devin throughout their relationship. She wasn’t sure if it was due to her upbringing, but protecting him was always a priority. This meant avoiding certain sensitive subjects, like politics, and respecting his boundaries, even if it meant they didn’t fully explore all aspects of their connection. Ultimately, they didn’t reach a deeper level of understanding in those areas.

In the end, Daniel and Taylor were the happy couple who decided to commit to a lifetime of love, promising to stay together long after the holidays were over.

Despite a rocky start – Taylor thought Daniel had been checking her Instagram and knew what she looked like – they were able to move past the issue.

After sharing heartfelt vows, the couple had a lovely wedding and celebrated with a reception.

“We did it!” Daniel exclaimed as he sat with Taylor after their wedding. Taylor added, “We’re so excited to begin this new chapter in our lives.”

The art dealer, now well-known in his field, proposed to the author of Keeping Well after a complicated relationship involving Hannah Jiles. However, they soon realized they were better suited as friends and ended their brief engagement.

Brittany and Leo realized they didn’t have a romantic connection, as Brittany explained to People magazine. They discussed the possibility of making things work at the start of their time together, but as things progressed, they both felt a lack of chemistry. Because they communicated well, the realization and subsequent decision were amicable and respectful.

After becoming known from a Netflix dating show, Brittany started dating musician Mod Sun in November 2024. However, she announced their breakup in July 2025.

Monica and Stephen ended their relationship after Monica discovered explicit text messages Stephen had sent to another woman while they were engaged. This happened shortly after they returned from a trip to Mexico. Stephen initially apologized on the show, but later posted a message on social media once the episode was broadcast.

In an October 2024 post on Instagram Stories, he expressed regret if his presence bothered anyone, apologizing and saying he wished those affected hadn’t had to start their day. Despite this, he affirmed his continued affection for everyone.

After leaving the pods, Hannah and Nick definitely experienced their share of challenges and arguments. Hannah famously noted that she felt like an equal only when she contributed equally to the relationship.

Everything fell apart when Hannah ended the relationship, deciding she didn’t want to marry Nick. He described the breakup as incredibly painful, saying it was one of the worst experiences of his life.

Since then, Hannah has admitted the show forced her to do some self-introspection.

She recently shared that she’s realized she has areas for improvement. Speaking on the The Viall Files podcast, she explained that while she’s always been a very direct person, she’s become aware that how she communicates is just as important as what she says. She’s working on softening her delivery to be more effective.

Taylor and Garrett instantly connected, feeling like a perfect match – almost as if it was fate. They did have one difficult moment when Taylor discovered Garrett had responded to a message from a former partner, but he quickly clarified he was engaged and ended the conversation. After that, their relationship blossomed, becoming a memorable part of the Love Is Blind story.

The pair were still married at the Love Is Blind reunion in October 2024.

You’re not mistaken! Marissa and Ramses were initially a strong couple and considered likely to succeed, but Ramses ultimately canceled their wedding because he had doubts.

After a serious conversation, Marissa excitedly told her fiancé, “I see a wonderful future with you, and I want to marry you.” He replied, simply, “I know falling in love always carries a risk, and I accept that.”

As someone who’s spent a lot of time observing relationships – both my own and those around me – I’ve learned that love truly isn’t always enough. It’s a beautiful starting point, absolutely, but lasting compatibility requires more than just feelings. I’ve seen couples struggle, even when there’s a strong connection, if they have fundamental differences – things like differing views on important life areas. It’s not just about loving someone; all the other pieces need to fit too, or it’s a tough road ahead.

Marissa tried to ignore how he felt, but once she realized their relationship was truly over, she started crying. She told him, “I wish you hadn’t come here.” She was upset and confused, saying, “I thought we were certain, but you’re not? It’s awful. I really wanted you to choose me.” She later admitted that this was the worst day of her life.

Tyler and Ashley were popular with viewers as their relationship seemed to be progressing smoothly. However, things became complicated when Tyler revealed he had three children, a revelation Ashley bluntly called his “sperm donor babies.” Online, people are debating the level of Tyler’s involvement as a father, but he hasn’t spoken publicly about it.

By the October 2024 reunion show, Ashley and Tyler had resolved their differences, reconnected, and eventually married.

Oh my gosh, I was listening to Tyler and Ashley after their wedding, and it was just… everything! He said they started this incredible journey just two months ago, and it totally flipped their whole lives around! Then he said they finally get to spend forever together! Seriously, I’m not crying, you’re crying! It was the sweetest thing ever, I’m so happy for them!

However, Ashley later shared that the pair had called it quits following over one year of marriage.

In a statement released in January 2025, she announced that she and Tyler have separated and are divorcing. She explained that after careful consideration, they realized they were growing apart and unable to find a path forward together, despite her hopes for open communication and a shared understanding.

Alex and Tim appeared to resolve their serious argument while they were in Mexico, and their relationship seemed stronger than before when they returned to Washington, D.C. Things got even better when Tim had a heartfelt conversation with Alex’s father, which suggested a promising future for them.

I still can’t believe it! It all went downhill after Alex met Tim’s family. They had some huge fight, and then Tim just… ended things! He told her he never wanted to see her again. It’s awful! They’ve both been trying to explain their side of things, and honestly, Alex made it clear it wasn’t a mutual breakup at all. It’s like he just decided it was over, and she was left reeling. I’m just heartbroken for her, it seemed like they were so good together!

Chelsea and Jimmy had a few arguments during the season, but it seemed they finally resolved their differences on a fun date at an amusement park just before their wedding.

Jimmy ended his engagement with Chelsea, leaving her shocked and in tears, as he was ready to move on from their turbulent relationship.

Jimmy confessed to Chelsea during their date, ‘I’m deeply in love with you and really want a relationship, but I don’t see marriage in our future. It’s just not something I can commit to.’

He said they were simplifying a complex situation, which stemmed from several deeply upsetting issues. One of these issues was Chelsea revealing a secret about Jimmy’s past relationship with a friend.

After one last argument about their past relationships, Chelsea finally left, crying and saying, “I really thought we had a chance.”

The pair were both single during the March 2024 reunion.

Clay was worried about getting married because of his father’s past, but AD comforted him, assuring him they could overcome any challenges together, and things seemed good between them.

However, when it came time to say ‘I do’ at their wedding, Clay unexpectedly said ‘I don’t.’ He explained to AD that getting married when he wasn’t prepared wouldn’t be a responsible decision.

Cue the shock.

Oh my gosh, he basically told her he’d work on himself, for her. He said they’d figure things out together, which is so sweet! And then he was so honest – he didn’t care what anyone else thought, he just admitted he wasn’t ready for marriage and that she deserved everything. He was like, ‘I won’t rush into it just to please you, I need to be fully ready to give you my all,’ and then he just…said no. It was heartbreaking, but so incredibly selfless! He just couldn’t say yes right now, and I get it, honestly. It’s like he’s saying he wants to be the best version of himself for her, and he won’t settle for anything less.

The discovery caused AD to break down in tears, angrily stating that the relationship had been a complete waste of her time.

Clay explained that both financial and emotional connections were major factors in his decision to leave. He confessed, “I had to ask myself if I was still a husband, and the answer was no. I also realized I wasn’t truly in love anymore.”

At the reunion, Clay admitted he regretted not dating AD and asked if she’d be open to trying again, but she didn’t give a clear answer.

AD admitted she did go on a few dates with her colleague, Matthew Duliba, once filming finished, but they are no longer a couple.

She announced in May 2025 she’s expecting her first baby with fiancé Ollie Sutherland.

Amy and Johnny were the only couple from season six to get married! Their beautiful wedding wasn’t just about starting their life together – they also blended their families together wonderfully. A particularly touching moment was when Amy’s dad told Johnny’s sister he now feels like he has several daughters.

As for Johnny, he too declared at his reception that his father-in-law was his “new dad.”

They are still married.

Brittany and Kenneth’s relationship began with a lot of excitement, but it didn’t last after they faced the challenges of everyday life.

Brittany explained to Life & Style that things changed once they left the pods and returned to Charlotte. She felt they had a very strong connection while isolated, but that passion faded a little when they went back to their normal lives.

Brittany and her former fiancé have stayed friends. At a recent meeting, she explained that even though their romantic relationship ended, they still share a strong and lasting connection.

Laura and Jeramey broke up after Laura discovered Jeramey had spent time with a fellow castmate, Sarah Ann Bick, while they were out one night. Following a heated argument, Laura ended the relationship.

But instead of that, he went off to ride jet skis with Sarah Ann.

At the reunion in March 2024, Jeramey shared that he and Sarah Ann had been casually dating for about a year after the show finished filming, but they are no longer together.

Laura is dating someone else, who she did not identify at the reunion.

Despite overcoming challenges like Izzy’s initial connection with Johnie Maraist and Stacy’s insistence on a certain lifestyle (she didn’t want to use paper plates!), Stacy ultimately decided not to marry Izzy because he wasn’t truthful about his financial history.

Even though Stacy didn’t go through with the wedding, she still wanted to stay with the heartbroken Izzy.

“We’re at different spots,” he told her. “It really breaks my heart.”

Stacy appreciated Izzy for helping her become more open with her feelings, but she wasn’t completely sure about a long-term future together. She explained that she needed to be absolutely certain before committing to a lifetime with someone, and ‘fairly certain’ just wasn’t enough.

Izzy is now dating surgical assistant Shelby Webb.

The only bright spot of season five faded when Lydia revealed on an interview with former castmate AD Smith’s podcast, What’s the Reality, in June 2025, that she was divorcing Milton after less than three years of marriage.

She explained it wasn’t a single event, but rather a build-up of problems. When she told him she’d inform him when the divorce papers were finalized, he replied that he wouldn’t sign them without a non-disclosure agreement.

She explained that she decided to go public with the news because she’d been holding it in for too long. She felt it was important to share what she’d been going through, as keeping it to herself had become overwhelming.

Lydia claims that while they were married, other women accused Milton, 26, of flirting excessively and buying them drinks at bars. He denied these claims, but instead of addressing them, he questioned why Lydia would even consider the rumors to be true.

Throughout the season, Paul and Micah seemed like a surprising match, but things fell apart at their wedding. Micah, noticing Paul’s uncertainty, asked him to go first, and he ultimately declined to marry her.

“I feel awful,” Micah admitted. “If Paul had proposed, I definitely would have accepted.”

At the reunion, Paul apologized for a hurtful comment he’d made privately about Micah not seeming suited to be a mother.

Paul admitted he hadn’t been fair to her when he spoke earlier. He clarified that his real concern is that he doesn’t envision them becoming parents together.

Although they got back together briefly after finishing the show, Paul and Micah ultimately couldn’t maintain their relationship. Paul shared that they finally split up when he went to visit Micah in Arizona.

On the show After the Altar, Paul shared that he was seeing someone new—a woman who loved to travel and appreciated his cooking. He later publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram with Geneva Dunham, who works as an eyelash technician.

Even though Kwame’s mother didn’t come to the wedding and he had some questionable conversations with Micah, whom he’d met while filming, Kwame and Chelsea were still one of the three couples who got married at the end of the fourth season.

At the reunion, Chelsea shared that she’s now met her husband’s mother. Kwame also apologized to his wife and her family for how he acted, explaining that his conversations with Micah didn’t reflect his best self.

The couple is living in Seattle with their beloved dog Rocky.

Everyone says love is blind, but sometimes it takes a while – or even getting engaged to someone else – to realize you’ve made a mistake. That’s what happened with Zack, who proposed to Irina Solomonova, but they broke up while on vacation in Mexico.

Despite initial challenges and objections from Bliss’ father, the couple reconciled and happily got married. They celebrated their first dance as husband and wife to Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance” – the song that had first brought them together during their time in the pods.

Following the final episode, Zack posted a picture of him and his partner on Instagram, writing “Eternal Bliss” in the caption.

The couple announced in November 2023 that they were expecting a baby, and in April 2024, they welcomed their daughter, Galileo Terri Rayne Goytowski.

It feels like we haven’t seen a Love Is Blind couple with such instant chemistry since Cameron Hamilton and Lauren Speed in season one!

Tiffany, 36, and Brett, 37, were the oldest couple in the experiment and still managed to get married, despite a last-minute wardrobe mishap when Brett’s pants didn’t fit! Big thanks to seamstress Lucia for saving the day.

Since filming wrapped, Tiffany and Brett moved to Portland and are still perfect! Phew!

After SK said “I don’t” at their wedding, he and Raven seemingly parted ways.

You won’t believe this, but after all the drama and filming wrapped up, those two actually got back together! It came out during the reunion show for season three – they were secretly dating again! It just goes to show, sometimes things really do come full circle, and honestly, a little bit of on-again, off-again can be exciting!

A month later, the couple announced their separation following rumors of infidelity. In a joint statement posted on social media in November, SK and Raven explained they couldn’t share details due to ongoing legal issues related to the allegations, and asked for privacy during this difficult time. They thanked their followers for supporting their relationship.

Viewers were upset when Jackie decided to meet with Josh Demas, another potential match she’d found in the pods, before officially breaking up with Marshall.

During the reunion, Jackie clarified what happened with her relationships. She explained, “I ended things with Marshall before I met Josh at the coffee shop. It might seem like I was unfaithful, but I want to be clear: I didn’t cheat.”

Okay, so Jackie finally talked about her breakup with Marshall, and honestly, it broke my heart a little. She said she gets that she messed up, that she’ll own what she did and said – she’s taking responsibility, which is amazing. But then she just…said it wasn’t meant to be. Like, just wasn’t meant to be?! It’s so simple, so final, and I’m still reeling! I need answers, but I respect that she’s trying to be honest, even if it kills me.

Jackie and Josh were still a couple and sharing a home during the After the Altar show, but she revealed on Instagram Live in September 2023 that they had split up.

Marshall shared with TopMob that he and fellow contestant Kacia Clark connected briefly after the show ended. However, he explained, “I just needed to put some distance between myself and that whole experience,” so things didn’t work out.

On the show After the Altar, Marshall shared that he’s been dating Dr. Chay Barnes for a year and hopes to marry her. They got engaged in December 2023.
