In the final episode on July 13, host Ariana Madix announced the destiny of the last four pairs, with Amaya Espinal (also known as Amaya Papaya) and Bryan Arenales being crowned the winners of the $100,000 prize. Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen came in second place, followed closely by Huda Mustafa and Chris Seeley in third (who parted ways during the finale), and Iris Kendall and Pepe Garcia Gonzalez in fourth. As Amaya told Bryan during the finale, “This marks the end of our Love Island journey, but it’s the start of our own fairy tale – Cinderella has finally found her ideal glass slipper.
But there are plenty of couples who won the game of love, if not the massive check.
To give an example, the last three couples from Love Island USA’s sixth season – winners Kordell Beckham and Serena Page, runners-up Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi, as well as JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez – have kept up the passion since they left Fiji.
However, viewers were reminded during the debut of Love Island: Beyond the Villa, which aired on Peacock that same evening alongside returning contestants such as Aaron Evans, Kaylor Martin, Connor Newsum, Olivia Walker, and Kendall Washington, that life isn’t always as carefree as a day at the beach.
It’s not surprising at all, given the history of the Love Island series, that various lengths of relationships have played out.
In contrast, while certain romances have endured and resulted in weddings, children, and a lasting bond for Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt from Love Island season three, some relationships sparked on the show, like those of Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Davide Sanclimenti from season eight, have fizzled out.
Occasionally, pairs who separated find their way back to each other, as demonstrated by the runners-up from season five, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury. On some occasions, celebrities even rekindle relationships with participants from different seasons, such as Lucie Donlan from season five and Luke Mabbott from season six.

In previous seasons of Love Island, both Josh and Sophie had each tried their luck, with Josh reaching third place alongside Lauren Richardson in 2015, and Sophie entering the villa five years later. However, fate seemed to conspire when they both appeared on Love Island: All Stars in 2024, ultimately finishing in third place together.

In the 2020 season of “Winter Love Island,” contestants Siannise and Luke came close to winning, but ultimately didn’t take home the top prize. They, however, discovered love within the villa and dated for approximately a year before parting ways in November 2021.
Indeed, it’s been a whirlwind of emotions ever since! But let me tell you, the man I admire so deeply has moved on, found happiness with Chelsea Menna. In fact, they got engaged just a short while ago, in the year 2022 itself. It brings joy to my heart to see him blossoming in love once more.
As a lifestyle advisor, I can tell you that my actions as a contestant on a popular reality TV show in the U.K. didn’t sit well with the viewers. I made a decision that left many fans disappointed – I chose Molly over Shaughna Phillips during our time at Casa Amor. Ultimately, the public’s vote resulted in our departure from the villa.
For a span of three years following their time on the island, they remained united; however, they parted ways in the year 2023.

Demi shared with MailOnline in June 2020 that the relationship is over for good. She believes the reasons were more on his side than hers, but they part ways amicably. Following a minor uproar and some back-and-forth discussions between them about the details of their separation (it appears Greg, a rugby player residing in Ireland, ended it through text messages), Amber expressed on ‘Loose Women’ that “I believe our careers and distance were always an issue. It was something we were aware of, so I’m not sure what shifted. I wanted to try and make it work, but things just happened as they did, in essence.

He’s a wonderful individual, and I will forever value the moments we spent together, whether they were within or beyond the villa.
Approximately a year following their victory as winners of Love Island season eight in 2022, Davide disclosed that they had ended their relationship.
He announced on Instagram in June 2023 that he and Ekinsuofficial are no longer a couple. He’s thankful for the shared memories and experiences, and wishes her only the best. He kindly asks everyone to respect his decision during this challenging period. He will continue to offer support to Ekin in any way he can.
Not long after, the pair rekindled their romance. However, they ended up calling it quits again.
In an Instagram post in January 2024, as captured by Cosmopolitan UK, Ekin-Su described the previous 18 months as a series of highs and lows, comparable to any relationship. She and Davide had a strong bond but ultimately decided to part ways due to recent events. Breakups are never straightforward, and they ask for their privacy during this difficult time. In the year 2024, Davide found himself opening his heart to love once more by starting a relationship with Iris Au. Simultaneously, Ekin-Su experienced a brief romance with Curtis outside the villas following their third-place finish on Love Island: All Stars in early 2025. Regrettably, they parted ways several months later.
Despite entering the villa after most other couples had formed, Ovie and India managed to reach the final round of season five in 2019, ultimately placing third. Ovie, who gained popularity during the Casa Amor episodes, joined later, while India came even later.
However, the professional basketball player and the model quietly parted ways later that year.
She expressed to MailOnline that indeed it’s challenging, as any split can be, yet more so when played out publicly. Nevertheless, she assured she would manage. Fortunately, she has a tight-knit circle of female friends who have been exceptionally supportive during this time.
In early 2025, India appeared on Love Island: All Stars but left the show single.
On the first day of season five, Lucie and Joe began partnering up together. However, once he was eliminated from the villa, she swiftly moved forward by dating numerous other men, even confessing to harboring deep feelings for a taken Tommy. Therefore, it came as quite a shock to fans when they announced that they were in a relationship after their season concluded.
Similarly to how their first love story ended, the surfer and the sandwich maker found that their second try together also failed to last, leading them to part ways in early December 2019.
Meanwhile, although Lucie is currently betrothed to Luke from season six, it appears that Joe is relishing his bachelor days since he attempted to court someone during All Stars in 2024.
During the second half of season five, Anton and Belle became the pair who parted ways shortly after leaving the villa. Despite this, they have managed to maintain a friendship; however, Anton made it clear that there will be no romantic reconciliation between them in the future.
The creator of the fitness app made it clear to Mail Online that it was absolutely not the case. They explained, “Given our current friendship, it feels akin to dating a sibling – an inappropriate comparison indeed. Our bond is no longer romantic in nature.
In the year 2024, Anton made an appearance on “Love Island: All Stars”. He and Georgia Harrison finished in fifth place together, but their relationship didn’t last long after the show.
As the third season seemed to lose all hope for beloved character Camilla, it was Jamie who unexpectedly appeared near the end, making it evident that his arrival was for her. Aww!
