Madonna Joining The Studio Season 2: See Her on Set

Madonna is expressing herself on the second season of The Studio.

Madonna was spotted on the Venice set of the Apple TV series on March 16th, alongside cast members including Seth Rogen, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, Kathryn Hahn, and Bryan Cranston.

Madonna, known for her music but whose last significant movie role was in the 2002 film Swept Away, hinted at the new project on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself reading a script while relaxing in a gondola on a canal in Italy.

The 67-year-old shared a photo wearing a large-brimmed Louis Vuitton hat – the same one she wore while filming – and simply captioned it, “The Italian job.”

It looks like Madonna won’t be the only celebrity appearing in the comedy! Michael Keaton and Julia Garner – who is also set to portray Madonna in a future movie about her life – were also spotted filming scenes.

It was a true joy to work alongside Catherine O’Hara for so many years – she was a radiant presence. After spending over fifty years collaborating with my dad, Catherine felt like family long before she ever played my family on screen. It’s hard to imagine life without her. I’ll always treasure the hilarious moments we shared, and my heart goes out to her husband Bo, their sons Matthew and Luke, and the entire family.

This goes way back, even before the first Beetlejuice movie. She’s been like a wife and a rival in my imagination, but more importantly, a genuine friend in my life. I’m really heartbroken. I’m going to miss her terribly, and I’m also thinking of Beau.

Mom, I didn’t realize time was so short. I wish I’d had a chance to spend more time with you, just sitting and talking. I heard what you said, but there was so much more I wanted to tell you. I love you, and I’ll see you again someday.

I’m truly at a loss for words. From the moment I met O’Hara, I thought she was one of the funniest people I’d ever seen. Home Alone actually inspired me to become a filmmaker, so working with her was a real honor. She was hilarious, kind, insightful, and incredibly generous. She pushed me to make our show the best it could be, worthy of her talent. This is just heartbreaking, and we were all so fortunate to have her in our lives.

“Catherine, I love you… You were a special part of my life and after life.”

I’m absolutely devastated by the loss of Catherine O’Hara. She was a truly unique and special person, and her death feels incredibly heavy – it’s hard to express just how much she will be missed.

She was more than just a famous performer – a truly remarkable artist, actor, and comedian. She represented the best of Canada, possessing incredible talent, courage, and a unique perspective. She not only brought joy to the world but also had a gift for making people feel understood and valued.

As an artist, she had a profound impact on me. She showed me what it means to represent your country with skill, elegance, and genuine kindness – never letting success change who she was.

I’m absolutely devastated by this loss. It’s just heartbreaking to think of her family, everyone who loved her, and all her fans – not just here in Canada, but everywhere. My heart goes out to them all.

It’s okay to feel sad right now, and please know that you’re not the only one who is hurting. We’re all sharing in this loss. Rest peacefully, Catherine, and thank you for all you did.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to tell the late Carrie Fisher how much she meant to me, and it was truly special. She was a huge inspiration, shaping not only my perspective on acting but also my sense of humor. I know so many actors probably said similar things, but she never seemed jaded. She listened with genuine grace, wit, and kindness – it was remarkable. I’m so thankful to Jason Reitman for including me in the Film Independent LACMA reading where I got to work alongside her and witness her genius firsthand. Being in her presence was unforgettable. I’ll cherish every moment. I saw her treat everyone with respect and warmth, from the director to the production assistants, both during that reading and on the set of Away We Go. She truly lit up a room – she had this radiant, almost otherworldly quality. Her talent was one of a kind, and I honestly don’t think we’ll ever see anyone quite like her again. She was a true genius and a beautiful soul.

Catherine was an extraordinary person – kind, honest, intelligent, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was strikingly beautiful, and her work radiated her deep love for people. She possessed a rare combination of integrity, clarity, and wisdom, making her truly special. It feels like all those she admired are now eagerly seeking her advice. Here on earth, we’re heartbroken by her loss, especially now when we needed her so much. May she rest in peace, dear friend.

Catherine O’Hara was a genuinely honest and true person, both in her work and in her personal life. Her authenticity touched everyone who knew her and extended to her beloved family, Bo, Luke, and Matthew. We offer our heartfelt condolences during this difficult time and hope her memory lives on forever. May she rest in peace.

“Catherine O’Hara. The absolute greatest. Only 71. An angel. The funniest. This is shocking.”

Being near you was a gift, and I’m eternally thankful. The world feels dimmer without you, but it will always cherish the time it had with you. Forever and always, you are one of a kind, Catherine O’Hara.

I honestly never imagined I’d have the chance to work with Catherine O’Hara, and even more unbelievably, become her friend. I’m heartbroken that she’s gone, but so thankful for the time we shared. Thank you, Catherine. I’ll always love you.

“Oh Catherine. You will be so so missed.”

“She was an all-timer. Her memory and work is a blessing. Rest peacefully.”

I’m still in shock and can’t accept that she’s gone. It’s incredibly painful to think about such a vibrant person being taken from us, especially when she had so much life ahead of her. Saying goodbye feels impossible. She was a true inspiration who brought so much joy to everyone, and that’s why we’re all feeling this immense loss. Rest in peace. My heart goes out to her family during this difficult time.

Catherine O’Hara was a truly gifted comedian, and it’s safe to say she was loved by many – possibly everyone!

This news is devastating. She was a truly wonderful person, artist, and someone I loved working with. I feel so fortunate to have directed, produced, and acted alongside her – she just kept getting better and better. My deepest sympathies go to Bo and her family.

“Absolutely heartbreaking. She was the kindest person in our business.”

Francesca was speechless after seeing her dad’s reaction on FaceTime, sharing a photo and saying she was completely heartbroken and in disbelief.

It’s a huge loss. She was incredibly talented, genuine, and effortlessly funny. She brought so much happiness to everyone around her and will be greatly missed. She was a true inspiration, especially for anyone who enjoys comedy, and always delivered a perfect performance.
